Camping

Over Easter weekend, we went camping with some of our friends. We went to Goblin Valley. We left Wednesday and drove down. We took a hike when we got there. Wednesday night, the wind was blowing so hard, I could hardly sleep, and Cadee woke up scared.

Thursday morning was beautiful! The kids rode the 4-wheelers all over, and had a great time playing. By Thursday afternoon, we had a HUGE windstorm! We pretty much had to stay in the trailer, otherwise the sand was blowing in our eyes. We did venture out a few times with our 4-wheeling goggles on. They seemed to work well. Our hair was full of sand!!

Friday morning, we went to Goblin Valley State Park. It was so much fun!  We hiked to a cave and the kids and Ray went in it. The kids had so much fun climbing on the rocks. Then we went into Hanksville to get gas and shakes. Then back to camp for some more 4-wheeler riding.

Saturday, we hung out at camp. The guys went on a ride to Temple Mountain for a couple hours. When they returned, we had lunch and an Easter Egg hunt around our camp. Then, Tonya and I went for a 4-wheeler ride. It was so beautiful!

Sunday morning, we got up to miserable rain! We packed up the camp and boy was it a mess! Our tent trailer has so much mud in it! We still have cleaning to do. I've washed the sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and clothes. Still need to scrub the trailer. We can't wait for our next camping trip over Memorial Day!!

We all agree that it was one of the most fun camping trips we have had!! Well worth the clean up!

Funny Cadee-isms

"Dad, when I call your name, you say YO!"

Cadee - "Mom, I'm Daddy's daughter"
Me - "You're my daughter too."
Cadee - "No, I'm your Girlie"

Cadee - "Mom, we don't say Da*n it, Huh?"
(Naughty mom!! I've got to start watching my mouth!)

Keeley - "Cadee, the H word is a bad word"
Cadee - "I know!"
Keeley - "Cadee, do you know what the H word is?"
Cadee - "Yes! It's stupid!"

CR had a sleepover party last night. I bought a ton of candy, pizza, and Gatorade. The boys arrived at 6, had pizza and started their video games. CR's friend brought a Xbox360 and another TV, so they were all able to play at once. At about 8:30, they left to see the movie Unstoppable. Austin brought his Hannah Montana CD, so they could crank it and sing with the windows down on the way there. (did i mention how glad I am that Ray took them?) they got home about 11:45, ate cheesecake and went back to playing their games. I was thinking last night... I know, not a good idea... But i was thinking how these friends have been with Colin since Kindergarten, and what good friends they are. Thinking about all the birthday pictures i've taken through the years with them in them. What awesome boys they are!

This past month, i have been trading rooms for the kids. J's room was quite a bit bigger than the girls' and the girls just didn't have room to play in their room. So, they traded rooms. J picked out his own paint, and Ray, j and i painted his room. The girls picked out their color and they got to help me paint their room. Anyway, it's finally almost all done! Yippee! That was quite a job!

Have I ever told you about Miss C's imaginary friend, Ella? Ella does everything with C. They go to dance, gymnastics, have sleep overs, etc. Oh, and did I mention, Ella's mom drives a van? :) So yesterday, we were driving home from church, and C says, "Mom, Ella's grandma died." and i said,"Really? What happened to her?" and C said,"she was on facebook, and she fell off her chair." What an imagination this little one has!! Gotta love her!

Have i ever told you that my sweet little miss C has an infatuation with vans? Well she does! She loves mini vans. I think it all started with her friend Vanessa's van. They have a Honda Odyssey with the cool automatic closing doors. Any chance she gets, she wants to ride in the van. She always tells me, when she is a mom, She's going to drive a van. We are getting ready to sell our Honda Pilot, and a friend borrowed it for a couple days... And they left their van at our house. It is driving C crazy that there is a van sitting in front of our house. So, Ray took her for a little spin around the neighborhood tonight, and she was in heaven!! She's going to drive a green rainbow van when she's a mom! ;)

So, Cadee was up crying during the night about her ear. Poor baby. I put some warm olive oil in it and got her back to sleep. I took her to the doc today and she's got a wicked ear infection in her left ear. I went to the doctor today too, and got some meeds for sinus infection. So, hopefully we will be on the mend!

A couple weeks ago, our garage door came off the track, so it's been sitting there crooked, looking more and more like white trash house over here. So, tomorrow we are getting a new garage door!! Yippee!

Miss C and I got sick over the weekend, and it's been a wicked one! Fever, chills, nausea, etc. Hopefully C will feel well enough to go back to school again tomorrow. ;)

Today was J's first study visit. He is going to be in a peanut allergy study. The purpose of the study is to test a small disc the size of a quarter that he will wear as a patch. It will have peanut protein on it. After wearing it for a couple weeks, some people will have less severe reactions to peanuts. It will be wonderful if this works for J!

I'm feeling a bit defeated by my house lately. Just can't seem to catch up! And then being sick, I lost it all! So sad! Someday i'll have a clean house, and then i'll probably be sad cuz I miss my kids!
