time for curbing again...

today's weather was soo nice! it makes Daniel want to start curbing again. He worked on the equipment today... getting it ready for the season. We are super excited to start the business here in UT. I will be placing ads online soon.

I also think I may print up some flyers to hand out around my block... nothing like door to door sales! it really helps to have these flyers handy...i remember getting a ton of work from using those and just from referrals. i sure hope things pick up her in UT for us!

it's been so long since i scraped a layout. I've just been doing mini books... it's nice to get a page done. now i just have to keep it up and whip em out! i need to get caught up.

i glimmer misted on this page... that was fun! i just don't like how it warps your paper. grrr.

i mostly used crate paper "random collection". i love that line.

Myla's blessing and Jesse's bday!

Jeremy and Amy blessed Myla at their house. it was a nice short ceremony. I really enjoyed Jer's blessing prayer. He always does good, but this was his best one yet!

After the blessing we had yummy food to eat. There was BBQ chicken, steaks, hot dogs, salmon, shrimp! oh, so much good food! needless to say i over ate. It is hard to resist when everything was so dam good.

Myla's blessing dress is beautiful.

Jesse got 2 bunnies for his bday present... they scratched him the first time he tried to hold them, so now he is a bit hesitant. haha!

poor Roxy...

Alana was out playing ball with Roxy yesterday when coco bit her face as she went to catch the ball. Amy got home from visiting teaching right after it happened. she took of in such a hurry she called me on her way to Orem, so I could bring the baby to her. She figured she would be a while at the vet.

I drove down to Orem to meet her and while Roxy was in surgery we met up with Jeremy and the boys for dinner at Wallaby's. after dinner we went to pick up rox at the vet. i felt so bad to see her hurt like that! poor dog.

 gross.

 that is a drain thingy on her head...not a tooth or a bone... like someone thought. lol.

doesn't it just make you sad to think how much pain she's in. ;-(



Georgia's soccer game.

today we went to Georgia's soccer game in Highland. she did soo good. at first it she did not even want to be there...but then as we cheered her on she got a little more competitive.

she scored 3 goals! It was so cute to watch her play... she gets a little shy (especially when she makes a goal!).

Project 365 layouts

I HAVE got to start on my project 365. I am a procrastinator. Well with that being said... here is the first layout I created using Sherelle's free template I downloaded off her blog tonight. It's not the cutest layout but I did it on a whim... just to see if I understood the tutorial. Well, I think I will be putting together some more layouts soon because this was actually quite easier than expected (I'm glad). I want to start from the first of the year. We will see how that goes!

 These photos were taken when I babysat Jeremy and Amy's kids for an entire week last month... oh that was FUN! Seriously, it was. I loved every minute of it. Those kids love me... especially Kara. What a sweetheart!

scrapbook expo

Nancy and I went to the scrapbook expo in Sandy. She took her girls for a "girls nite" out. They had fun activities for girls ages 8-18. they danced, got their nails done, and even got glitter tattoos.

Nancy and i walked the building looking at every booth they had. we bought a few things... we met up with Lana Mackey and her sisters and friends. They were all there scrappin. Emry is soo big. She is almost 9. wow! time flies! We chatted while we rested in between booths... all that walking really made my feet hurt.

it sure seemed way slow this year compared to last. they didn't have a few booths i was looking forward to, like, crate paper, scenic route, a few others i can't think of right now. I was really hoping to find new Heidi Swapp stuff... ya, right!

not too impressed this year for sure. it was fun either way. we stayed till midnight. i hope it gets better next year!

and i especially love to cook in my cute dishes! sorry Alicia... i was gonna give you this for your birthday, but i just had to use it. it has been tempting me for far too long...every dam time i open the cabinet, it just says "use me please"! lol.

things I LOVE minibook...

i finally finished this mini book i scraplifted from Alicia. I started it almost a month ago... every time i would try to work on it, the phone rang or an email came thru. grrr! here are some photos....

i mostly used old papers i had in my stash... with the exception of the echo park "truly yours" pattern papers i bought and the sticker sheet.

i don't know what it is, i love to make mini books. i can't remember the last time i scrap a page. all my recent projects have been mini books.

 i guess i'm not quite done... i still want to sew on a few pages and the front cover.

i have to journal on this page.
