I actually sang. Those who know me well know that I do not sing in public. This was a huge step for me. Haha. I sang Paramore. "You're nothing more than a whore. You'll never change."

New Years Eve at Finck's. Me, Tarrin, and Hillary.

Soooo....look at me go. Yet another post. I'm awesome. Haha. Anyway. Had a great Christmas break. Went back to teaching today. Only 2 more weeks. Then I am jobless. Don't know what I'm gonna do yet. Hopefully I'll have enough subbing opportunities so I can stay in the apartment and not move back home and not get a second job.  I don't want to do that again.  During break I played a bunch of soccer and hung out with my friends.  I played toooooo much rock band my eyes hurt.  We won't talk about the 8 hour straight rock band sesh with Kacy.  Hahaha. Never thought I would play a video game that long.

New Years was a blast. Went to my ward's party for a little while. And what do you think we did there? WORLD TOUR!!! I know I know. I need to stop.  Hey at least I'm playing the drums and getting a little arm and right leg workout. Then we went over to Finck's for a party. Sweet tunes, sweet people. It was a good time.  No New Years kiss. I don't care.  I think New Years is overrated anyway.  Hung out at Finck's till about 430 in the morning.  Then woke up at 1030 for a bike ride to Shorehouse to eat some food with some of my favorite people...Betty, Steve, Bro. Ward, and Sara.  Good times.

We also had the Christmas cruise. That was a blast.  More good food and good people.

If you have any ideas of what I should write about let me know. I think my life is boring.

So Lucy and I embarked on a crazy adventure over the first weekend of December.  We jammed ourselves into Josh B's car (seriously...we had all of our luggage, a P.A. system, presents, etc) and headed towards the border.  I'm getting excited cause I've never been to Mexico and I had always wanted to go do work at an orphanage.  A dream come true.  Well, the car ride over wasn't a dream. The girl that rode along with us would not shut up the whole way there. I wanted to reach back like a pissed off parent and slap her in the face.  She kept asking me all these stupid questions that obviously I wouldn't know the answer too... for example, "Amber what is that big Christmas tree for. You're the local around here." Ok for one we were in San Diego. Am I from San Diego? Hmm...last time I checked no. So I'm not a local. And two...It's Christmas. There are gonna be big decorated Christmas trees everywhere. This one happened to be at Sea World. So I made up some random crap that Seaworld has a Christmas presentation every year. I dunno. She bugged.

We made it to Mexico. Pulled up to the sand. Laid out our sleeping bags and crashed. Right on the beach. It was really nice.  Instead of hearing the stupid fire engine or the apartment worker dude whistling at 7 in the morning I was able to wake up to the lovely sound of the ocean crashing upon the shore.  We packed up and headed for the orphanage.  This was on a Friday.  So that day Lucy and I helped make a wall for the computer lab.  We put the cinder blocks down and added the cement and stuff. I don't know all the macho construction worker lingo. Sorry.  I got to play futbol with the kids. Awesome.  That night we had a variety show for the children. It was so much fun.  Best act of the night by far was Lucy, Josue and I.  We had a luchadore competition.  Lucy and I got our butt's kicked.  After the variety show we passed out presents to the kids. So much fun. Just seeing the kid's faces light up made the whole trip worth while.  That night Lucy and I fell asleep on the dining room tables.  I didn't want to sleep in the smelly, musty bunk house with 60 other volunteers. No thank you.

The next morning I woke up early to help make chocolate chip pancakes for the kids. I was the official chocolate chip putter inner.  After breakfast it was right to work.  I help load over 100 bags of 90lb flour from one side of the orphanage to the other.  So gross.  I made dough with all the sweat and flour from my body.  I was so dang sexy after that let me tell you.  We all packed up and went to a village outside of Ensenada and passed out clothes, hygiene kits, blankets, and food.  It was an amazing experience.  We would hand them their gifts and sing them a Christmas song.  One woman was so touched that she sang for us.  Another woman allowed us to come into her little shack and look at her 6 month old child.  I was so humbled and touched by this experience.  These people are so grateful for what we gave them.  After the gift giving we were able to go to downtown Ensenada and look at the stores. I bought cute feather earrings.  For all you ladies it was a super good buy. Only $3.00 each. Not bad.  And for all you dudes....I bought a sling shot. Had to be done. My other one busted.  We drove back to the beach we stayed at the first night and had dinner and a dance party.  Woke up the next morning at 5am to go cross the border.  That was the longest car line I had ever been in.  We went through Tecate. Didn't want to be decapitated.  The end.

Well it's almost the end of the summer. A couple more weeks to go of me being totally lazy.  I will recap the important events of this summer. If I leave some out that you feel should be put in let me know. You know what don't let me know. That means I obviously didn't have that much fun with you. Hahaha. Just kidding. But seriously.

Total brain fart. Don't remember anything before last week. Hahaha. I'm so bad at this blogging thing.

Ok. To start off I took off my pampers. I am a big kid now. I moved out. Ya thats right. B9 baby!!! Holla. Ya I just said holla. I am now roomies with Lucy, Chelsea, and Kevan. Amazing ladies might I add. I finally have my own room. Woo!!! Hot tub and pool at my disposal. Anyone wanna come play just let me know. I still haven't unpacked really or decorated.  I don't have a hamper so I'm using a trash bag.  My bed spread isn't big enough and I need another towel or two....oh and a shoe rack. I'm in desperate need of shoe organization.  My babies are suffocating in broken laundry baskets. The sooner I get the shoes out the sooner I can take my dirty clothes out of the trash bag.  The fire engine drives by a bajillion times a day. And I would have never thought that on ellis between delaware and gothard was a busy street. It is fricken loud.  Oh and I am in dire need of a book shelf.  Got me some books with no home.  So thats my moving story.

I went to Arizona this past week for Betty's birthday. Fabulous. I had a major case of swoob and swack while I was there but that's to be expected in Az during the summer. Whatevs.  We all get it, well swack at least.  I always have swoob no matter where I am.  I had fun. Went swimming in a lightning storm. Oh don't worry. My middle name is Danger.  I ate. Went to a water park with Donna, Zoey, Kacy, and Betty. That was grand.  Had my fair share of wedgies.  Went to Blue Wasabi (sushi...blah) for Betty's birthday with random people. And my favorite was there, Heather Kinney.  We have a love for meat so we didn't eat caca fish stuff. Our meal was properly named "Where's the Beef?" Soooo good.  Ya after our $40 meal I was seriously still hungry. Its like I only had an appetizer. I totally went and got a bag of chips after everyone left.  Lay off me...I was starving. Then we went bowling with Kacy, Betty, Cliffy, Donna, and Brit. Kacy kicked our trash. I was having serious issues bowling that night. If you don't know me I am super super competitive. I was getting pissed that Kacy was beating me at bowling. Silly you might say? NOOOOO!!!! Ask Spicoli if you don't believe me I was texting him about my bowling issues and how I hate losing. Grr... Anyway...that was fun (well as fun as it can get while being a loser).  At least I danced my little heart out.  Just give me a beat and I'm done for.  Ok I'll wrap this up quickly.  Sat we went shooting. Ya thats right don't mess with me I know how to shoot a gun. And I'm pretty accurate.  I keel you.  Played a little guitar hero (ABBA reunion baby).  Went to church, watched Olympics, laid by the pool for hours.  Got home at 3 am on Tue.

 The end.

TRL BABY!!!

Ok. Sorry for taking so long to post another bloggetty blog but I'm new to this thing and ya.  Just got back from D.C. and New York. Way fun. Way hot. Fell more in love with dudes that wear form fitting jeans, plaid shirts, and sperrys. Sigh. They were everywhere. Right Linda? Your team! hahahaha. Ok so quick summary of the events that transpired.  Left on a red eye Virgin with Linda.  Took the Washington Flyer to nowhere. Took the Metro...once again...to nowhere. Oh ya with a butt load of luggage.  Then to the Washington Flyer back to the airport to wait for Melissa for 10 HOURS!!!!!!!!!! The longest day of my life.  We saw the Holocaust Museum, the Capital, the White House (maybe soon to be Black House...sorry bad joke), the National Archives, walked through D.C. barefooted in the rain. Spent a bajillion dollars on cab and subway fares.  Walked more than I ever had in my life. Saw the New York Public library, Gay Pride Parade People (my fav of course...syke), tall buildings, dirty streets, pretty parks, Melissa and Linda in their underwear...Mmm....Met, Natural History Museum, stupid art waterfalls, Brooklyn "Forgit abouuuut it", Chinatown, bums, dudelys, times square, a huge billboard of Beckham in his chonees (however you spell that shiz) HIYO!!!, my distant relatives the dinosaurs, Henry VIII's fat gouty armor, paintings of Nephi, Chris, and Melissa in the Met, pretty dang good might I add, expensive food. The end.

Chicken Little Flee Flicker on Two

Alright Nephi and Chris you have convinced me to start the whole blog thing.  So... let me recap my evening for those that did not partake in the joyous fun.  Rode my dumpster bike (ya found my awesome martini glass bike in the dumpster; nice condition might I add), saw a crap load of men's packages in little banana hammocks and I mean little, Yikes....Bikes...., rocked out to some music, ate a kids meal at Wahoo's, went pee, looked at pictures of my favorite Saddam and Chip'n'Dale dancer (you know who you are), rode my bike home, BARRACUDA, brushed my teeth, took an iron pill, and.... The End.
