This was seriously so fun. The day started out with with Nichole and I heading up to Park city. When we got there we had lunch at whole foods. They had the some yummy carrot soup that was seriously to die for. I want to drink a big cup right now! After that we headed to a few of the outlet stores and putted around  We picked up our race packet and checked into our hotel. A few hours later we met up with Becka.  Then we went to this yum place called Sushi Blue for dinner. Again, really good. We decided we just wanted to be a couple of lazys so we picked up some goodies and a Red box and headed back to the Hotel. The room was awesome. It had a fireplace, kitchen and a hot tub on our balcony. We ate until we wanted to puke and just relaxed.  This race was seriously the ideal perfect case scenario  We got to sleep in, look out our window and there was the starting line...literally.  Because we ran the 5k, there was no pressure, no stress and it was just pure fun. I loved seeing people dressed in their pink and supporting cancer. The trail was really pretty and I just tried to enjoy the moment. It was my first race with absolutely no knee or back pain. I consider it my perfect distance. I was a little bummed because we didn't all run together as planned. Some where a big group of people got between us and we never found our way back to each other. Becka was a rock star and got this pic of me as I was crossing the finish line. We also major lucked out because it was sunny just during our race and when we were done it started to rain. After the race they had tons of food, donuts, hot chocolate, cake bites, fruit, chips and salsa. Really we just sign up for the good food. Afterwards we went back to the hotel took hot showers and vegged. We hit Starbucks on the way home. I got a soy salted caramel hot chocolate. I could have that every day of my life. Then we headed back home to our hubbies. It was a quick trip, but so badly needed. I want a girls weekend once a month...especially with these girls...awesome.

Jeanna was able to come down for the weekend so we decided to have a mini sleep over. Then we all watched conference as a family. We tried to keep the kids entertained with conference bingo and skittles.

My good friend Anna had her beautiful baby girl Lauren. She was seriously an angel and I could have sat and held her all day long. Mama and baby are both doing great!

We celebrated Jays birthday a day early because Randy had to work. Rans picked him up from school and took him 4 wheeling. He was so surprised and excited. (We wouldn't tell him what he was going to get to do.) Which means, he got a new helmet for his birthday. We also got him a new bike. You can probably see from the old pictures that his old bike was WAY too small for him. He also got lots of great gifts from the family. We had cake and his choice of McDonalds for dinner, gag. Over all I think he loved it. We are looking forward to his baptism.

Pun- Kin -Patch

Image
I know this looks like a green screen, but it was really that beautiful of a day. A little hot even. We went up to the RED BARN. There, we had apple donuts, home made ice cream, caramel apples and fresh apple juice...YUM! We took a hay ride out to the patch where they have a maze, slide and a sand box. We went with our good friend the Jamisons.
