Too Long!

Okay, so I am embarrassed that I have not written a single post on this blog for more than 2 years. A lot has changed since then. We had another little girl named Everly that is 2, who is completely different from Ella. She has a wonderful personality and beautiful smile. Ella is 3 now, and she surprises me daily with everything she is learning at school. She can already write her name after 2 months of school. Oh yeah, and we are expecting baby girl #3 in March 2012. Below are some pictures to get caught up.

Family time

Well, over the last month or so, we have spent a lot of time with family. Ella has LOVED it! Aaron's sister, Jennifer, and my brother, Brennan, are around all of the time since they live nearby, but the week that we moved, Aaron's mom and half brother, Ryan, came to help us out.

Bathtime...

You just gotta love bathtime. It is one of Ella's favorite times of the day. Here are a few pics of daddy giving her a bath.

Catching up

Okay, so I know that I went through a little bit of a slump. In my defense, I have started about 3 posts and then bailed half way through. Plus we have tried to sell our house, bought a new house, packed and moved all while being a large, pregnant lady. Okay, enough with my excuses. First off, I have a few cute pictures from the old house. The first ones are when Ella went on strike with letting us feed her and she took over the spoon. Aaron thought it would be okay with yogurt. We all found out, including Scooner that yogurt is not the best food to give in on first. Nevertheless, it was fun and offered a lot of entertainment.

Missing the blog world

Okay, so I totally forgot until today how much I love the blog world. I have been so preoccupied with facebook that I have not been keeping up (reading or posting). So I am making a promise to start updating again...starting tomorrow. There is so much to write about! Til then...

Daddy's Christmas Present

I stayed home from work today becuase of the ice (at least that seemed like a good reason). I absolutely LOVE getting Ella when she wakes up in the morning. She is like a little Christmas present, smiling, happy and saying "da da"- its just the best thing in the world!!! I know it is the love only a parent could have since as soon as I open the door I know she has baked me a special present and I don't even care. - The Daddy

Need advice...

Okay, for the second night in a row, Ella has woken up in the middle of the night screaming at the top of her lungs. I have tried letting her put herself back to sleep, but after about 15 minutes, she is screaming even louder. Even when I go pick her up, she keeps on screaming for at least 10 minutes of longer if I don't figure out how to bounce her in just the right way. And of course I have to walk around, because the minute I sit down to rock her, she starts screaming again. I have tried everything I can think of including diaper changes, Tylenol and Check SpellingMylicon drops, fed her two nights ago (but did not want to do it again last night so as to not start a bad habit), singing to her, etc. I mean, she has screamed so loud that I have wondered about if something else might be wrong with her and should I take her to the hospital. Even when I get her calmed down, she is then awake for almost another hour.

Thus far, I have been a really lucky mom. Ella has been a great sleeper (I mean, she has been sleeping at least 7 hours since she was 4 weeks old). So, if you have any suggestions, I am all ears!
