Brewer

It is funny because our boys don't know ANYTHING about football because we just aren't that into it, but B has been slowly coming home with things like Fat Heads all over his folders. He saves his money and goes to the Cubby Hole to buy "cool" things like silly bands or Fat Heads. Anyway, I just went back into his room while dad was reading to him before bed, and he brought home a book from the library called New England Patriots - Americas Favorite Team. Just funny to me because he has NEVER had any interest or knowledge until now. Funny that my baby is old enough to learn new interests from school and friends. He is just growing up!

Porter

Porter turned 4 last Sunday. He is a sweet and loving little boy who has always been pretty easy...until last week! It is funny with the Collinson boys, they are all pretty easy babies and toddlers. It is when they hit around age 4 they become a little bit more challenging! He is starting to disobey more. I will tell him not to do something and he will look straight at me and (in slow motion) do it anyway. Hopefully it is not the beginning of a new stage...but just a bad week!

Mr. P is still making us laugh. He continues to pray to God and give thanks for building his bones...and Batman's, Joker's, and Robin's bones! Today I was upstairs doing some work, and all of a sudden I heard the banging of Brewer's drums in the basement. But, it was clearly to the beat/tune of Iron Man. He then started to belt it out while still playing. Crack me up! The cleaning people were here and they were in hysterics!

His birthday was on a Sunday. We went to church then had a party at our house with some of his favorite themes. Newt said it looked hodge-podged together, but it was all the thing he wanted! We had a Nemo jump house and cake, Scooby-doo plates and napkins, and Buzz Light year pinata. It was fun and simple and we had awesome weather! The kids just ran around and played on the jump house and in the cul de sac. Our boys were almost tired of the jumpy by the time the party rolled around. I had picked it up on Friday morning, and set it up (all by myself!) that afternoon. The whole neighborhood was out the whole weekend and we stayed up both nights pretty late while the kids played. We had dinner and just hung out because it was such great weather, but the novelty of the jumpy had worn out a bit by Sunday. Just the same...It was a great party.
Then we left to go to the play Peter Pan with Newt and Leslie. They were very sweet and generous to take all of us for Porter's birthday. All in all, great day!

Recently, he doesn't want to eat anything but snacks. Snacks that have lots of sugar or snacks that are straight up carbs. The combination of the two he adores. i.e. donuts!

His run is hilarious. You would have to see it to really understand. He truly "hustles" everywhere he goes. His arms are moving in huge strides, and twice as fast as his legs. It is so cute to watch. He is going to be a runner!

He says he doesn't like girls, but then wants to have a play date with some of them from school. I think he just thinks that it is "not cool" to like girls because he only has brothers. Although, he is straight up in LOVE with Grey Bozza! He has told her he wants to marry her. When I ask him about going to summer camp with his friends from school he says "No. I just want to go with Grey." Good thing I love the Bozza family so much! ;)

Brewer

When in Brew's room last night he said to me, "Daddy is a good daddy. Most daddy's wouldn't do the things he does. He says he takes us as his greatest treasures. I like that."

Update on Cannon

Mr. C has been having a hard time recently. I think it is a middle child thing where he just feels left out and he feels he is getting the short end of the stick all the time. This can be tiring on mom and dad because there are lots of tears and drama at the house. Ironically, he is doing great at school. His two teachers LOVE him, along with all the kids in his class. Moms are always telling me how much their child LOVES Cannon, and that he is so sweet! We just received his second note home from school in two weeks on how he is so kind to others and shares so well!
I put the notes up in the kitchen to let him know how proud we are of him. Now we just need that "kindness" to come into play here at home with his little brother!

Brewer

Brewer came into my room the other night and told me that Harrison is the nicest friend. He gave Brew a letter with camo all over it and inside it said "B"....(long pause) "F"...(even longer pause) and I chirped in..."F"? "Yes!" "He said I am his best friend!"
Ah! My baby got his first BFF letter. So cute!

Porter - Sunday January 30

We are taking a class up at church on Sunday nights. Last Sunday, Newt took the two older ones to their class and I was taking Porter to the nursery, then meeting Newt in our class. I was running late, so I picked up P. and was running up the stairs. I tripped on a stair and came within mm from nailing Porter's head on one of the stairs...really hard! It scared me to death, and scared P. as well. I was hugging and kissing him, making sure he was o.k. I told him that I was so sorry. That I would never want to hurt him. He patted me on the back and hugged me then said, "It's o.k. mommy. I will always love you. Even if you do hit my head on a stair and make it crack open."
