No matter what I select from the import options, the data won't import. Tried from a console running as client and also offline on my mac. However, If I open another random show file of mine (the previous show I did) the MVR imports the XYZ data into the channels no problem! Go back to the current show file and it doesn't work - even with the same import settings. Is there something in the current show's file that would stop it from receiving the MVR's data? Running 3.3.8 on my mac and consoles Thanks, Tom

Forum Post: [3.3.8] last cue appears in red when intensities down

Hi, if you set master of cuelist manual and fire a cue with intensities down the last cue appears in red in PSD.

[Select Active] should select channels based on levels underneath effects, not where an effect currently has them

It's a little frustrating when an effect is running on certain channels, and [select active] omits channels that an effect has set to zero at the moment that I push [select active]. I am just generally tech curious, which is why I'm posting this open question to the eos/A3d dev team. From what I can tell, Gaussian Splatting seems to be the new big thing to be able to work with Photorealistic and lightweight 3D Models, with accurate lighting reflections. Right now, you can model photorealistic scenes in Blender/Unreal and import them into EOS just fine. But what sparks my interest with Gaussian Splatting using Photoscans is that you're able to capture the real world with great detail and with minimal Modeling required. To me, this sounds like it was meant to be used in Lighting Visualization. You can find some Online showcases at https://superspl.at/ It seems like earlier this year, Khronos Group announced an extension for the .glTF file format, which now seems to be able to support Gaussian splatting for 3d models https://www.khronos.org/news/press/gltf-gaussian-splatting-press-release Is this being considered as a possible feature for Augment3d, especially since it already supports .glTF imports? What are the possible downsides of this tech, which is not being talked about online? Is this not able to be implemented because of how A3d currently works under the hood? I find this new tech very interesting, and I'd love to hear back from you about this topic.

Forum Post: RE: Bug: Next & Last while holding Flash

Thank you for your report. Ion Xe consoles cannot output EDMX/Net 2, so unless you have other devices that use EDMX (such as gateways/nodes, or an ETC Unison Legacy architectural control system) on the network, turn off EDMX in the CEM+ control modules to reduce the potential for latency issues that are caused by having sACN and EDMX on the same network. If the system had been running for 8+ years with the Ion Classic, what changed when that console was unable to control the BBox racks? Was the Ion Classic upgraded to v3.x.x software, or is it the older model that's using Windows XP as its OS? - What firmware version(s) are the CEM+ control modules running? V3.1.3 is the current version, and it's recommended to update all of the dimmer racks to it. - Check the priority level of both consoles. If the Ion Xe is at a higher level than the Ion Classic, the dimmer racks will only respond to the Ion Xe when both consoles are active on the network. If both consoles are at the same priority, the dimmer racks will respond following highest-takes-precedence (HTP) arbitration for the sACN values.

Forum Post: Eos v3.3.8 is now released!

Eos v3.3.8 is now released. It is an emergency patch build to remove a firmware installer for the “Intelligent Power Board IMX RT” module included in some consoles. Eos v3.3.7 was removed from distribution, and all other features and fixes represented in Eos v3.3.7 are present in v3.3.8. ETC recommends users on Eos v3.3.7 not install updates for the “Intelligent Power Board IMX RT” module, and update to Eos v3.3.8 immediately. For all other users, ETC recommends updating to Eos v3.3.8 as production schedules allow. It's a networked system in two spaces, a proscenium theater & a blackbox theater. Each space has two CEM+ 96 space dimming panels controlled using EDMX. BBox dimmers are addressed to 1-192, Pros are 2001-2192. Pros space has in ION Xe and the BBox has an ION Classic. Everything runs back to a centralized network switch so each space essentially can be controlled by either console. The problem is in the control. The ION Classic in the BBox will not adjust the levels on the CEM panels for the BBox. If the ION Xe patches channels to 1-192 for the BBox, it WILL adjust levels in the BBox. Pinging the BBox dimmers from the ION Classic returns as successful. I've used a sACN viewer to verify activity from both consoles on the network and the Classic is adjusting levels in the 1-192 range. The CEM on the first 96 panel in the BBox is showing a "Config Mismatch 4" error. I've successfully sent the config from the Pros panels to the BBox panels but the error does not clear. What is this error and how do I clear it? What protocol is EDMX? Is it proprietary to ETC? I don't see any checkboxes on either console to activate/deactivate this protocol similar to how you would with sACN / ArtNet. Why would one console be successful with controlling a panel and the other will not? Is it a console age thing (Xe vs. Classic)? It should be noted that this system had been functional for 8+ years in this configuration.

Forum Post: Merge Addresses only without updating fixture types

Hi. We are planning to do a big re-addressing of the DMX fixtures in our Venue this summer (likely 100+ Fixtures). We have 8 showfiles, we would need to update. I would really like to be able to do this re-patching of addresses via a Merge while preserving all show data. I'm aware, that the Advanced patch only merge doesn't touch show data but afaik, it does update fixture types. This has caused me some big headaches in the past, where updated fixture types started strobing in every Cue/Preset. This has lead me to only re-patch addresses by hand since then. Updating addresses for channels by hand in multiple showfiles is going to be a pain, i would like to know how you guys would do it. Am i being to paranoid about fixture type updates? Is there maybe another workflow, which doesn't merge updated fixture types?
