ifv and OpenAsPopup conflict
I have a rich text button for the user to click to make a quick edit, which opens a popup window that leverages a code page to close automatically when saved (following the "CloseWindow.html" pattern illustrated here). I am attempting to also hide the normal qb UI in the popup window utilizing an ifv parameter, but when I do this the window no longer closes automatically. My base url is in a field [Edit User Alert]: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=er&rid=" & URLEncode([Record ID#]) & "&dfid=11" & "&z=" & Rurl() My rich text button adds the ifv (currently commented out) and NextURL parameters to the url and sets the class: var text url = "'" & [Edit User Alert] & //"&ifv=10" & "&NextURL=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & AppID() & "?a=dbpage&pageid=5") & "'" ; ... var text class = "'OpenAsPopup' data-height=600 data-width=850 data-refresh=true "; ... The window closes correctly without the ifv parameter but when it's added the window no longer closes. Where am I going wrong?OpenAsPopup position
I am utilizing the OpenAsPopup class to open a small form as a popup window when a user clicks a button. Is there an attribute for OpenAsPopup (or any other technique for that matter) that will enable me to control the position of the popup window? Ideally the window should appear close to where the button was clicked. Barring this the middle of the screen would be preferable to the default, top-left position.
Filtering data on mobile devices
While using an iPhone or iPad mobile device, I'm trying to figure out how to display the filter icon on reports, but can't get it to display. Is the option to change report filters on mobile devices still supported? See the attached screen shot for for an example of what I'm looking for. I'm using Safari as the browser and also tried displaying the filter icon using the Quickbase mobile app. Thanks, Jim Lieder
Getting link to related record based on a max date
I have two tables. The main table is DSO and the related table is activity. I'm trying to get a report grouped by the DSO Name and bring me back the record ID of the activity where the field Date Roster Reconciled is the greatest. I built a report and have the information like I want it but the link does not take me to the record of the activity. I created a summary field on the DSO table relationship to the activity table that gives me the max of the date field and the max of the record id. I also added the lookup on the activities table. It's just the link takes me to the DSSO record and not the Activity record. What am I doing wrong?Ask Me Anything with Quickbase Leadership

Is it possible to dynamically change the title displayed on an add record form (e.g. "Add [single record name]")? In the attached screenshot I have a table called Activities, which has the display name Communications in my sidebar. I would like my primary add form to say "Add Communication" instead of "Add Activity" to match the display name. Of course I could change the table's "A single record is called..." setting, but I'd prefer not to do this for the same reason I'm using a different display name in the first place, i.e. a client requested the change and the app already has a lot of dependencies based on the original name I'd prefer not to have to worry about. I'll change the table name if I have to, but what I really want is to be able to change the text displayed on my add forms dynamically based on the use case. The same table also stores notes which are not associated with an actual communication, but still belong on the same table for simplicity's sake (tl;dr the two types of records require much of the same data to be entered and it's preferable to be able to group them together in reports, summary fields etc). I want users adding those types of records to see the text "Add Note" instead of the table default. Is this possible?
Add Upsert Row Only If The Record ID Hasn't Been Added Already
My table has a Latest Record checkbox to identify the most recent entry among records with the same email address. That's the record that I would want updated to trigger a notification when the conditions are met by one ore more of the other records. I have a pipeline setup with On New Bulk Event as the trigger but the test run lead to the multiple record version of the notification being sent. Is there a way to only have the Add A Bulk Upsert Row done only if the record id for that row doesn't exist in the "bucket" already? If so, how do I do that? I figured I would try to see if I could get the pipeline to work before re-engineering my whole approach to avoid the multiple record version of the notification being sent. FYI - it's possible and likely that multiple records in the trigger array will have different email addresses, thus, multiple records would need to get the update to trigger separate notifications. Let me know if I need to provide more details in order to get assistance. Thanks in advance.Do Bulk Records Pipelines Make Simultaneous Updates?
When bulk records are handled in a pipeline, are all of the applicable records updated simultaneously? Will they have the same modified date and time? I have notifications setup to be triggered when a date field is updated. I have a formula checkbox field used to identify the most recent record associated with an email address field value. The most recent record may not be the one that gets updated along with other records with the same email address field value. I don't want the email notification being sent before other associated records are updated. I am looking at using Bulk Record steps to reduce the number of pipeline steps I am currently using as well as handle everythingmore efficiently. I just need to know if I would be safe having the date field updated on the most recent record with the other potential changes without worrying about the email being triggered before all applicable updates are made. Thank you, in advance for any input. Let me know if I need to provide a visual and/or more clarification on what I am looking to accomplish.
