Greetings NENSA Community,

April is a busy month at NENSA. Just days after a season finale in Craftsbury that had skiers of all ages and stages competing in a club relay (arguably the single event most reflective of the breadth of our mission!), our team gathered at the von Trapp Family Lodge for our annual retreat. Over two days, with steady snow showers as a fitting backdrop, we took a deep dive into our strategic plan, programming, and vision for the year ahead.

I’m feeling especially appreciative of the energy and commitment our team brings to NENSA every day. We’re returning with renewed energy and focus, and such gratitude for the community that makes this work matter.

Summer programming work is underway, so please stay tuned in the weeks ahead for nominations and announcements. We’re simultaneously putting together the winter calendar. Bid opportunities for all events are open for one more week. Community Events remain open a bit longer, though we encourage early entries to help us shape a regional calendar that minimizes overlap.

I hope you enjoy the abundant sunshine the rest of this week has in store!

All my best,

Heidi

NENSA Club Relay Championships Recap

Image

The last Saturday in March saw a fun morning of relay racing with skiers from BKL to Masters representing clubs from across New England all coming together for this celebratory end-of-season Club Championship event. Following the relay races, everyone gathered to share a tasty barbecue meal and acknowledge the top relay teams as well as the season-long racers who finished on top in the Zak, Marathon & Club Cup series.
