Probably. I think.
So after much thought and begging (primarily from my mom) we've decided we can't exactly stop this blog.
Blogger has a feature that allows only invited guests or those on a "list" to view the content of the blog. Although it's not the easiest way it seems to be the best compromise. I'm trying to figure out the best method to collect your email address so you don't have to post it in a comment. I have the email addresses of most of the commentors but not necessisarily of those who don't comment (ok I know who you are because you tell me or my mom that you read my blog but I still don't have your email addresses....you know who you are..... :) ) It means that if you still want to see the pictures of my sweet little kidlets you're going to have to delurk and give me your email address so I can add you to the list.
I'll put my email address in the comment section of this post so don't be shy and send me a quick email and let me know if you want to be added to the list. I don't want to lose any of our true dear readers simply because the world is a creepy place.
See most of you on the other side!

It's Gettin' Hot In Here...
Ok it's not really getting hot here because God has had mercy on this little slice of paradise and it doesn't get hot here (or so I'm told). None of our family likes to hear how nice and mild it is here when it's a balmy 100+ degrees in the midwest. Ahhh, slowly but surely we are recruiting our family to come join us in this beautiful part of America. More on that at a later date.
Mommy is conflicted these days about keeping up with the blog. On the one hand we have so many friends and family members that live far away whom we don't get to see very often and we like that this is a universal way for them to see what we're up to. On the other hand there's so many unknown people who visit our blog that we don't know and it's a little, shall we say, creepy. So as sorry as we are to say it we may continue to keep our updates infrequent. Who knows. Maybe once something other than Criminal Minds comes on just before the news mommy will have had a change of heart.

Whirling & Twirling Through Time
It's been awhile...we know...but let me show you the fun I've been having! And give me a high five because I will even show you in the order in which my fun was had!
Uncle Cub & Auntie Ty-Ty gave me this warm hat for Christmas. It comes in very handy when I would get cold outside.
Nevie just adores Daddy. He always thinks of fun ways to make her smile.
One day Asher came over to play and we found the sandbox before the mommies could distract us with a much cleaner activity. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha.
Look we're playing! I taught Nevie how to pick grass. I tried to tell her it didn't taste very good but she didn't believe me.
Nevie and Memaw are two peas in a pod. Nevie loves to go through Memaw's purse and you know what? Memaw doesn't panic when we go through her things.
Oh my PawPaw. I love him so much. He & Memaw came out for one last visit to our home in Colorado. It was so nice to have them there to play with.
Hey guess what?! I turned 3! We had an early birthday party before we moved to celebrate. We had pizza and we made cookie-pizzas! All my best friends were there. We had such a fun time!
Just before we left town all of our best friends gathered at our families favorite Irish hang-out to give us a farewell party. Here are all the girls.
This was the best seat in the house when we went to see the Koala's at the zoo.
First visit to the ocean! Pretty cool! I love the waves!
The sand is pretty awesome too!
Oh she's loving it.
We have this great little park just a block away from our new home. We love it!

I pretty much ride my scooter everywhere. I do have to wear my helmet all the time now. I'm what Mommy calls a Maniac when I ride.
Nevie rockin' the pony tail these days.
Mommy's turn to caption: I can really appreciate his empathy towards the homeless that he sees when we do our exploring but I'm not sure what to think of his pretend play. Every day he loads up his grocery cart with everything he can find. I came into the living room yesterday and found him like this. Hey Lea, notice the picture frame at his feet. He thought of EVERYTHING. :)

It's hard to imagine with all the sleeping troubles Nevie had in her first year, now she loves to sleep in! Here she is in the fancy sheets at our hotel in Las Vegas. She was in heaven!

The Official Party
Happy Birthday Nevie (officially!) Nevie had a bird themed birthday party last Saturday. All of our best Colorado friends were able to join us to celebrate Nevie's birthday but also to just get together and party one more time.

Obviously Nevie was concerned about the same thing and found her piece hidden under the sofa.
At first Nevie wasn't quite sure of her little cake.
But then of course she realized that it tasted pretty good. So she devoured the whole cake.
Since most of our friends are my age or older we had to have some fun stuff to do for us too. So mommy got us a pinata.
I think it was a hit. Love the looks on Anna & Sawyers faces.

The Birthday Girl got her turn of course.
I was just concerned that I could get a piece of candy so I snagged it and ran.
The end. I think we were waiting to truly believe she was one until the official party but there's no denying it now!
The Pincess and Tinker Balls
We've been waiting 3 months for this night to arrive. When mommy heard Disney On Ice was coming to town she just knew it's be the perfect time for me to be reunited with my Pincess (Princess = Cinderella). We got front row seats and it turned out to be a good thing because Nevie doesn't like to sit still and I'll admit that bag of cotton candy from Pawpaw didn't help me stay in my seat either.
Wish this was in response to asking her "Nevie how old are you?" but she was just being bossy and letting mommy know what she thought.
I'm Back!
MeMaw asked mommy why it's not me talking in my blog anymore. She said she likes it better. So you can bet your britches I'm back!
It snowed a bunch just before MeeMaw and PawPaw came for a visit last week. PawPaw came up with a great plan to fill a cooler full of it so I could play in the snow in my house! Here I am on day 2 with my snow family. PawPaw even gave me some Cheerios and sprinkles to help decorate them.

March Madness
It was pretty darn cold today but we made mention of the park yesterday (when it was g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. out) and we have a certain 2 year old that has a sharp memory that would not let us forget about the park. Now to be referred to as Papa-Alpha-Romeo-Kilo in our house. At least he can't spell yet.

The Big O-N-E!
Wowza! Where'd the year go?! Seriously, can it be March 3rd already?! Nevien is 1 today! One year ago today our lives became a brighter and a little more pink. We have had a blast this year getting to know her and watching her personality bloom. We've enjoyed watching Corben interact with Nevie and grow as a big brother. Not a day goes by that we don't laugh at how different these two are. No matter their differences though they have a lot in common and it seems to be evident in their good traits...they are both so happy! My favorite sound these days is when they laugh together. It's the most precious sound. Nevie has the prettiest beaver-tooth smile and the most infectious giggles.
Happy Birthday Nevie-puss! We love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anybody who has been to a birthday party where Corben is present has seen this look in Corben's eyes before. He couldn't wait to dig into that cake. Oddly enough, the princess on top is his favorite thing right now. At first he thought she was Tinkerballs (Tinkerbell) but now he refers to her as Princess. She goes potty with him, she takes a nap with him, she eats with him. It's pretty darn funny.
Ordinarily I think the first birthday cake shouldn't be the sugary, bad-for-you, type confection but who can resist a cake from Safeway?!
Ooooo her first birthday present from Meemaw and PawPaw
