In Sunday School today we talked about Elisha when he became the prophet (after Elijah was taken up by a whirlwind). I love the story of when Elisha's servant was worried because the host of the Assyrians were surrounding them. Elisha's answer was that "they that be with us are more than they that be with them." Cory and I were talking about this simple teaching and discussing how we have seen this in our lives. We have been so blessed over the past several months. We have been without jobs and yet with the many blessings coming from Heavenly Father, often through the wonderful people we know, we have been able to get by and have plenty for our needs. We would like to thank those angels and our Heavenly Father for His love and His willingness to shower us with blessings. As we keep ourselves on the Lord's side, through obedience, we will always conquer.
During sacrament meeting I was thinking about how often the little blessings in our lives go unnoticed. As Cory and I have been striving to think of our blessings over the past several months we have been able to find so many blessings that we would have overlooked otherwise. Heavenly Father truly does bless us with tender mercies. It isn't just every so often, it's daily that He blesses us, even hourly. I encourage everyone to count their blessings over the next week or so. Great insight and joy will follow. :)

This is the only picture we got at Bar J. You probably can't tell that I have a skunk on my head and Cory has a wolf. Pretty exciting stuff. :)

Hello, All

Hey all,
Cory and I thought we would start a new blog. We realize that everyone has already been there and done that but oh well. :) We have been married for a year now. Wa-hoo. Cory is going into elementary education at BYU-Idaho. We love living in Rexburg. It's an amazing place and there's a nice small town feel to it. Let's see, there isn't much news except for I got a job. Yay!!!! I'm going to be a kind of secretary/personal assistant to an entrepeneur. It's going to be busy but fun. It's only part time so I'm still looking for another part time job.
So, last Monday, Cory and I got to go to Bar J at Jackson Hole. It was amazing. There is so much talent there and it was fun to watch. They also had pretty good food. :) We got to go with Mom and Pop and with Shera, Adam and Jacob. We all had fun and it was a treat to be with Mom and Pop one last time before they had to leave.
  Anyway, I'll keep this updated.
