Lexi has been doing sweet thing for Averi all week as part of her personal progress goal to strengthen her relationship with a member of her family. Every morning she makes something, writes a not, or cleans and organizes something. It's been the sweetest thing to watch. Today she made Averi Harry Potter book marks. She couldn't have been more thoughtful. After school Averi was so excited to show me what Lexi had done. Im so glad they have each other.

Impromptu swim party at Danny's house. We brought our snow cone set up and the kids ran it. Averi and Mae served the first batches, but Canon quickly picked up the trade and brought unsolicited snow cones to everyone in sight.

Ethan and Lexi were invited to sing with a small group for the upcoming Stake Standards Night. Tonight was their first practice.

The kids, (especially Lexi) have been begging for a Soda Shop run. So we told them we would go if they got some jobs done. Well the girls jumped right in and did all the work. Matix made a minimal effort, but we let him in with the promise that he would do more upon returning home. Well Canon did nothing. He put up a good fight. His fit was one for the record books, but I didn't give in. (I did however buy an "extra" drink in case he decided to work when he got home). As we were leaving I turned around and found Matix secretly sharing his drink with Canon. They both looked at me like they had gotten caught doing some terrible thing. I had to take a picture.
In the car on the drive home one of the kids decided to open up their own Soda Shop when they grow up. Canon decided he wanted to open a "NcDonalds" instead. That prompted the following discussion.
Matix -"It's not 'NcDonalds' it's 'McDonalds'.
Canon- "No it's not, it's NcDonalds. That's how dad says it."
Matix- "Dad's just messing with you."
Canon- "No he's not, he's messing with you."
By then we were walking through the door and let Cory take it from there. During the entire conversation the girls didn't say a word. Neither wanted to break a sweet little boys heart who trusted fully in his daddy. Cory said he took it well. Canon does know his letters so Cory let him figure it out. He was pretty sad but has already forgiven dad.

Happy Mother's Day to me. My family spoiled me. Cory GeV me three necklaces and the kids wrote me nice notes. Averi wrote me this lovely card. Apparently my favorite food is yucky stuff and my job is raising spoiled children. Well she's close.

Lexi had her last club volleyball tournament today. Aunt Tara was her coach. She learned to play setter this season and really improved her serve. It's so fun to watch her play. Cousin Reece and a few other friends play with her so they always have a good time. Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to this group of 3rd and 4th graders who won the MYV tournament this morning. They were so much fun to coach. We had some ups and downs, but everyone improved by leaps and bounds. Averi surprised us all by serving about 12 points straight. She took a step back each time and ended up behind the end line. She was in the zone and it was pretty awesome!

I had such a great time with Lexi's class on their 6th grade Sea World Field Trip. It was non stop for two days and completely exhausting, but I'm so glad I went. She really has some great friends. We were divided into groups and given private behind the scenes tours Friday night and then slept in various exhibits. Lexis group got to sleep in the shark exhibit. It was incredible. The girls all slept in the tube with sharks swimming over them while parents slept out by the viewing window. I literally watched the Sharks swim around until I fell asleep. So super cool!!! Saturday we were set free to enjoy the park as we wished. So fun!

Making the most of my time left at home with Canon. He's almost a Kindergartener and we both couldn't be more excited. But for now we will play. Love this little guy. He played so hard at Krazy Air with his buddies. "Mom, Watch!"

Averi has always wanted to be in the talent show. She and Mae choreographed their own dance to "Lollipop". They also designed these outfits. They are the cutest of friends.
Cousins Braily and Kash also performed a song together with their sister Addelyn.

Shari decided it would be a fun idea to watch a black widow and a scorpion dual to the death on my kitchen counter. Well, it certainly was entertaining, but neither won. They both seemed to want out.

It's full on ball baseball season. Canon plays with friend Jackson and Levi and Matix has 2 cousins on his team: Emma and Pace. Lots of nights sitting at the ball field with friends and family. These boys are getting better each game.

Sometimes I just need a little snuggle time with my oldest boy. It doesn't seem to come as often anymore. Lucky for me he's a very loving 13 year old.
