Maybe I should change my banner so Halli is in it??????

Yes I admit it has been a while since I have sat down to blogged. The only reason I am doing it now is the program I use to do my online class isn't working so I decided to quit for the night. I was able to play around with photoshop for the first time in a long while and I decided to make some shirts for my kidos soccer teams. The first team is the Golden Eagles. I help coach this team with my brother-in-law so that our kids can play together.
Image
I made shirts for Mckado, everyone in the Greer family except Taylor, and myself. I will finish the rest when my dad is able to pick up the shirts for us.
I did not want Dallin to feel left out so I took the next three images and combined them to form a logo for the comets!!

It was a lot of fun to make them and the kids seem to enjoy them. So between soccer, scouts, football, track, and 4 kidos, Jami and I keep pretty busy.

Fun (sort of) in Vegas

Image
If you take away car trouble , kids getting sick, and the fact that walking down the strip was like walking on the sun, it was a lot of fun. We found out a month later that a valve needed to be fixed. The whole time driving around Vegas we smelled gas and averaged about 10 miles a gallon and caused a lot of stress. My cousins wedding was very nice and it was good to be able to go since I don't have any plans to go back soon.
Image
Try telling these boy we're not buying any m&m's when their are millions of them in front of you.

Image
The kids were troopers and did a great job walking around.
*I almost forgot we did see Amare Stoudemire at circus circus. *
Jami actually ran into him as we went through this narrow spot. I thought this guy looks really familiar and was really tall. He was all decked out in Knicks stuff as he has just joined their team a few days earlier.

Image

We had fun but the kids would have been content to stay at the Hotel to swim and watch cable channels we don't have.

Image
We all did get to pee in the desert as we were forced to make an emergency stop. All the kids really liked the Joshua trees. We were very glad we went but also very glad to be home!!

Off to Fountain Hills

Image
Each week this summer we have tried to do something a little out of the ordinary for us. This week was a trip to Fountain Hills. We drove up through Usury pass mostly because we like to drive on the hilly road. As we were entering the town the fountain began to spray and the kids loved it as they could see where we were headed to. We spent quite a while playing on the splash pad. One little area they have is almost like a car wash. You walk between these three loops that has many water nozzles spraying on you. I don't recommend playing what time is it Mr. Fox. Mckade was being Mr. Fox when he yelled midnight and began to chase Dallin he ran straight into a pole. It wasn't the fact that he didn't have glasses on as much as there was so much water spraying he just really watching where he was going.
ImageImage They had a couple really nice playgrounds. But once the kids saw the duck and geese that is where they wanted to go. Some nice girls gave the kids some bread and the kids had fun feeding the animals. McKade and Dallin kept trying to see how close they could get the birds to them. I guess they didn't realize that you don't really want a hissing goose that close to you. I thought it would teach them a good lesson to have a goose peck their bum, but it wasn't to be.

ImageIt was a fun time. Even Halli was enjoying herself. We were lucky it was slightly overcast but she still got really hot in her car seat. Jami misted her a couple times to help keep her cool. ImageWe finished off by stopping by Wendy's for a Frosty on our way out. By the time McKado was taking his last bite his hands were shaking so bad he almost couldn't get the ice cream into his mouth. He went from so hot to absolutely freezing in about two minutes. When he went to the bathroom he but his whole body under the hand dryer to help heat himself up.

Image We'll have to come back next time and play Frisbee golf. It was a nice trip.

Clarks crash Sedona

Image Right after football we were able to get out of town and head up the hill for some fun. Besides a small taco bell stop we drove straight to Sedona. We appreciated the scenery but didn't stop for any of the shops or look at any of the special healing crystal shops. We wanted to get to slide rock.
Image It was pretty busy but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to get into the park. We brought a double stroller down all the rocks and got quite a few funny looks. It was worth having it down there once we got set up. Because of the baby Jami and I took turns sliding with the kids. It was fun. You can see my nice farmer tan.

Image
All of the kids had a blast. The water was cold! However after about 30 seconds in it felt great! Only D-man and I went on the longer, deeper slides. We will definitely be coming back in a few years when the kids are older.

Patio is done

Image Well after about 35 buckets of dirt hauled by hand over the fence, through the neighbors back yard, and along the side of the our house we had just about enough dirt to level things out. I then had to fit 37 more tiles into the back of the van as we still needed more then the 62 we already had. The boys really did help me on this project. They carried the 30 small bricks.
Image Then over the next two weeks little by little the patio was built. I had to move 4 sprinkler heads which did slow the process quite a bit. I also found that getting sand out of the QC wash was much cheaper then buying sand at $4 a pop at home depot.
Image The kids seem to like it an awfully lot and so do I. The patio covers an area that was just dirt and really never saw the sun. Not even weeds grew in that area. It would just make dust and then mud when it rained.
Image Now once the grass recovers I think it will work out quite nice.

ImageChimmi sure seems a lot happier on the patio then the picture above.

Yes, I guess I do still have a blog.

This is a very quick summary that misses more then 90% of what has gone on since January when I last posted anything. Oh Well!!ImageWe found out that Jeff liked Jack?? We were even happier when we found out that Jack was short for Jaclyn. I took this as an opportunity to have some fun with photoshop. Mckado is quite the ladies man.
ImageFast forward a month or so"ish"and Miss Moore now has a nice little ring on her finger. Before you get the wrong idea the tattoo was my addition. So clearly my mom's stress level just increased about a billion times for the summer.

Image I tried to take advantage of the nice weather before track started as much as I could to spend some good quality time with the kids.
ImageYou can definitely tell what the kids have been watching on TV when you find shapes in the clouds.

D-man had a lot of fun playing soccer this year. He loves to play goalie and defense. He didn't even care about scoring goals. Twice he almost scored from midfield with a monster kick but the rest of the time he was perfectly content to play goalie. At first we had to tell him to be a more aggressive, then towards the end of the year we had to explain that you can't run up and just push people over. :)
Image The kidos had a great time playing at Canyon Lake.
Image It was an impromptu trip as I just wanted to get out of the house and do something over spring break.
Image It really was a pretty drive.
Image Ty girl is always up to trying out a new hairdo.
ImageDuring Spring break we also visited the AZ museum of natural history. It was a lot of fun.
ImageWhen panning for gold D-man looked for big chunks while Mckado and I went for quantity of gold dust. Come to think of it I have no idea where their gold went to????? McKado did offer to buy dinner with it.
ImageSeeing the mammoth was much more interesting after watching Ice Age II the day before.

ImageTechnology is amazing.

Image All the sisters were in town for Chrissy and Mark's wedding
ImageAnd our two dancing machines had a great time. D-man only really danced when we did the chicken dance. Dad did an excellent job of serving punch all night.
Image Chimmi has not been a very good helper when I work on extending the patio. He just wants to play and gets frustrated when we don't stop to throw his toy.
Image Jami is pretty much sticking straight out!! She is officially no longer comfortable.
ImageJami had a great baby shower put on by my sisters.
ImageD-Man does a good impression of the statues in Downtown Mesa
Image The boys, with their cousins, conquer the Greer dairy Mountains the morning of the camp out. What started out as getting the kids out of the house so Steph could get ready for the baby shower turned into an all boy camping trip. Grandpa even came out for hot dogs and smores. The girls decided to have a New Moon party and Ty girl stayed up with them until well past 11:30 PM
ImageMcKado helped pitch a tent for the first time.
ImageRoasting hot dogs and smores. We were really ruffing it. So basically we have been busy. Jami falling down the stairs and breaking her foot made life even more exciting for a couple months as she couldn't really leave the house. We are not really ready for the baby to come but we are working on it as I don't think she is going to wait for her due date. I will put picture of the finished patio up hopefully before 4 more months roll by.

Now you see him, Now you don't

We had the great pleasure of taking family pictures before Jeff went back up to school. Picture day of any type is not exactly a good time in my book. I was taking down Christmas lights all day but the last job wasn't home so we would be home early. Instead of taking the pictures at my parents house we went down to the seville clubhouse. ImageWe actually took a good picture of my kids but our nephew had wondered behind them. This is another good reason to have a stone block wall as a backdrop. It made him much easier to remove. ImageYou don't really notice the difference as much if you are not comparing the two pictures.
It was a good thing that Grandma Greer came out to help take pictures or the family photo would have been a bit difficult. ImageYou can see she got us all in the mood for photos.
