A night in Italy

On Saturday we had a ward activity and the theme was Italian night, so everyone brought different Italian dishes to share and for dessert there was a pizza cake buffet. Our ward activity director is an extremely talented cake decorator so for dessert she made 4 cakes decorated like pizzas with different toppings and for the kids she made "spaghetti & meatball cupcakes with frosting as the noodles, strawberry syrup as the sauce and candy whoppers as the meatballs. They were so cute! There was also an Italian soda counter, and a few games. I participated in one game called "The leaning tower of cookies" There were 2 teams made up of one adult and one child and we had a minute to make the highest tower of cookies. The first round was a tie, both teams had 11 cookies so we had a tie-breaker round and our team had 14 cookies while the other team had 12. My prize was a million dollar candy bar and my team mate won a chocolate i-pod. It was a wonderful evening full of delicious food, great people, and fun games.

McKenna talkin

Here's a sweet video of our McKenna using her voice. She was in the tub the other night just splashing and talking away, it was adorable so I recorded it.
Hello All! It's been a while since I wrote, and I haven't been very consistent, but I'm going to try to do better. Things have been going very well. Sean made third class petty officer so he's moving up in the navy world! He's not an airman anymore so he gets more respect and more responsibility. He scored in the 91st percential on his exam so He was pretty excited and I'm so proud of him!

Our 2 little girls are growing up way too fast! Kamela is almost 4 and the sweetest girl ever! She starts preschool in Septemeber and I can't believe she's going to be old enough! She's such a good big sister and cares so much about people.Image
McKenna is 8 1/2 months and so adorable! her bottom teeth are finally starting to come in so she recently started eating people food. She's not crawling yet but she rolls everywhere and gets where she wants to go, so whatever works I guess!

I'm staying busy with church, housework, and the kids. I recently recieved my first calling in this ward as a relief society worker. Once a month I give a short talk in relif society about temples. It's nothing fancy, but It's simple enough and it makes me feel a little more included in the ward.
Well I'm going to go to bed now. I will try to write more often and keep you all updated on our family.

Trip to Idaho

So this past week, our friend Zach in Pocatello got married so we decided to travel to Idaho for his wedding. Well since my parents are in Blackfoot, only 30 minutes away we were able to spend some time with them as well. We got there on Tuesday, the wedding was Friday and we traveled back on Monday. It was lots of fun, we ate dinner at Rupes, my mom and I were able to go to the temple, I went shopping with my sister, we went to a new arcade in Pocatello, Kamela and grandma built a snowman, we spent Easter with my parents and were able to see my grandmother and aunt that I haven't seen for a while, and The wedding was beautiful. new hairdo

So I have desperatly been wanting a style change for a while now, It had been 16 months since my last professional haircut and I was going nuts! So last Thursday Sean and I decided it was time. Sean sugested I color my hair black, I figured it's a change and what have I got to loose, so we picked up hair dye and Sean dyed it for me and then I got it cut on Friday just at a local place and it looks pretty good, it's different, but I like it. let me know what you thinkImage

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year! Kamela is at the age to understand whats going on and she had a blast. We all dressed up, I was a witch, Kamela was a dragon, (this costume was given to us, it's not very girly but we're saying she's the girl dragon from Shrek!) Sean was a skeleton and McKenna was a sheep. Every year they block off the road downtown and people stand outside of their business and pass out candy. We went to the trunk-or-treat from 3 to 5 and then I took Kamela trick-or-treating downtown. She had a blast seeing all the other costumes and she was so good at saying thank you when she got candy. We came home and she had to eat some vegetables before she could have candy, and then we went to a few houses around neighborhood then came home and called it a night. It was great!
