She's Home!

SHE'S HOME!!!!!!!!
February 20th was a day full of rollercoaster emotions. Hermana Maryssa Johnson was supposed to arrive home at 8:44am, that was changed to 9, then 9:09 and when she was finally supposed to land we found out that her flight had been diverted to Nashville, TN because of fog. I was devastated and they didn't have any information about when she would now arrive. As we were heading out I got a call from Maryssa telling me she was good and she would see me soon. She kept assuring me that everything would be ok. An hour later and after many prayers for the fog to lift we got the call that her flight was leaving Nashville. As we waited for her we asked passengers what flight they were on, finally it was her flight. We waited and waited, every blonde we saw we thought might be her. Then she came up the escalator, I yelled her name and she peeked around another passenger, I yelled her name again, and then nothing was going to hold me back from my daughter, I ran past security and embraced my sweet girl. Oh what a wonderful feeling to see her again, words cannot express.

Thanksgiving in Memphis

We went to Tennessee to spend Thanksgiving with the Young's.  Chelsea and James and Grandma Evelyn also came spend the holiday with us.  We had a great weekend, we went to Bass Pro Shop and had pictures taken with Santa.  We also wandered down Beale Street.  On Thanksgiving Rachel and Beckie taught the kids how to play lacrosse.  That evening the girls did some shopping and then we played games with Grandma Evelyn and her new boyfriend Phil that night.  It was a great weekend filled with food, family and fun!

Marching Band

Cole has been working really hard all summer long at band camp preparing for marching band season.  He has been truly loving marching band.  Saturday Curtis and I were able to go to his competition and watch his performance.  He did such an amazing job and we were so very proud of them.  They took 2nd in their division and 3rd place overall.  They also took the award home for fan favorite and best pit crew.  I am so very proud of my sweet Coleroo!

Employee of the Month

After only 3 months of employment at the DMV Sariah Johnson was named the employee of the month! She was so excited and surprised. Her manager took her and some of the other employees out to dinner last night to celebrate! She was funny she texted from the restaurant "Nothing here is cheaper than 24 dollars. Good thing I’m not paying" with a pic of the menu, and then "I was at the bar and the bartender asked me what I wanted. She put the water in a fancy glass and now I feel like a rich person" so proud of this girl!
