Asleep in the car before we left the parking lot!
So the update on how B did...
I was one of the first mommy's in the parking lot ready to pick up our little ones. And SO anxious to know how the day went. As we waited for them to open the doors and let us RUN to get our little ones, okay maybe not run, because honestly I really did enjoy a little peace and quiet and the ability to go to a meeting without getting someone to watch him, we all chatted about if we thought they had napped or not! HA! Should have known...
As I got to his room he was happily playing with a bulldozer and I looked over to the cubbies and his nap mat was the ONLY one not unrolled and on the floor with the stack of others. His teacher then told me that he didn't want to nap at all! He got fussy as it came to lunch time, didn't want to each much (isn't surprising b/c when he is tired, he won't eat), so they thought he'd go down well for nap. She said he was "fussy" and wouldn't go down on his mat. So, the amazing director, Karen, took him to her office to help her eat lunch. Mrs. Amy, his teacher, said they tried to bring him back about half way through and he shut the door and said "No tank you." :)
Mrs. Amy said he did GREAT for everything else! He really enjoyed music time and playing with all the new toys. He ate his snack well and had a smile on his face (when he wasn't ready for a nap).
Oh well!
I ran into Karen as we were leaving and wanted to tell her thank you for watching him and apologize for him not doing well during nap time. She said he was fine- she said she was eating a piece of pizza and he came up to her desk and said "yummy...pizza!" Ha! Then before she could stop him, he had her nectarine in his mouth and was eating it. She said when he was done he brought it to her and said "seed." She laughed and said, I hoped he wasn't allergic! She was stumped that a 2 year old would eat the whole thing and love it!
So....we have been talking about nap mat time at school and I tried to get him to take a nap on it today at home! I can 99.9% guarantee you when I go get him up from his nap he will be behind the door on the floor where he usually is!
Mommy apologizes for not sending his "grankie" to school with him- I was hoping he wouldn't need it- but at last, it will be going to school for nap time on Tuesday.
Thank you all for your prayers, emails, and phone calls on his first day! Those who know me well, know that I cry at just about anything...so of course I cried when I left the room, on the way home and when I got here...but about an hour later, I was done! I am SO thankful for Danny having a great job that affords me the opportunity to stay home and put B in preschool.
