April 8 we flew to Florida for a fun family vacation at Walt Disney World. We had the best time and sure wore the kids out each day. It was a much needed break from the past year.
Everyone ready for the long flight across the country.
Day 1: The Magic Kingdom
We had a great time getting on all the rides. The kids really like Seven Dwarfs Mine ride. Colin's favorite was the Aladdin's magic carpet ride(similar to the Dumbo ride). Everyone was tired early mostly since we got in really late the night before. We ended up leaving the park around dinner and enjoyed sometime relaxing at the hotel.
Day 2: Disney's Hollywood Studios
This was easily our favorite park. Star Wars land was amazing! The Kids loved it and we stayed until the park closed that night. We especially loved rise of the Resistance ride. The kids couldn't stop asking about how did we ended up on a Starcruiser, it seemed so real to them.
Day 3: The plan was to spend the day relaxing at the pool and then go spend sometime at the Universal City walk. But then it ended up raining most of the day. Not just raining but a full on down pour. So I had the kids do some of their school work. Eventually we decided to head to the Universal City walk even in the rain. We went shopping for some Harry Potter stuff and then had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. after dinner we enjoyed some giant milkshakes at the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.
It finally stopped Raining about 7pm and we enjoyed some time at the pool.
Day 4: back to the Magic Kingdom
We managed to ride everything we missed on the first day and stayed until the Park closed. Colin and I even managed one last ride on the magic carpets.
on the ferry ride over to the park.
Ride on the Riverboat.
Thunder Mountain railroad
Magic carpet ride!
Day 5: Disney's Animal Kingdom
We spent our last day in Florida checking out all the animals and fun rides. A great way to spend our last day.
Lunch at The Rainforest Cafe. It was really good and everyone found something they liked. Kind of a miracle for this family.
Safari ride
Tree of Life
Monkey Island. It was so neat to see the monkey roaming free on this structure, no visible barriers.
