This year my mom offered to take Nathan to the cub scout day camp held in Hollister because we will be out of town for the one he would normally go to. I was excited for him to get to spend a week at such an awesome day camp and knew he would have a great time. I may not enjoy scouting that much but Nathan enjoys every minute of it. Here's to hoping that they can find a leader locally that can help him continue to love scouting instead of me (I was the cub scout den leader the past 3years but told them I needed a break) who finds it painfully stressful and not fun at all.
Nathan got to spend five days immersed in all things cub scouts and he sure had a blast. It is all he could talk about when I picked him up Friday night. Some of his favorite activities were archery and BB guns.
I think I may need to figure out a way to get him to the same camp next year!!!

Nathan's Baptism
On June 10 we gathered with family for Nathan's baptism. It was wonderful to have both sets of grandparents attend. Both Grandmas each gave wonderful talks and Baptism and the Holy Ghost. He Baptized and Confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by his dad. Nathan had this nervous excitement for days and kept asking all day Saturday when it was time for him to put on his white clothes. He has been trying really hard the past few months to be better about listening and obeying his parents. Always trying his best to stay out of trouble. I love seeing him try so hard to make good choices and hope he keeps that desire for years to come. Sometimes he reminds me so much of myself when I was younger and my only real fear was disappointing my parents and grandparents. Probably the reason we are both such rule followers. And really I hope that never changes for him because he is becoming such a great kid, warm , kind, and welcoming to all he meets.
