Daniel and I met and started dating in July of 2005. After a good year, we were married Aug 5, 2006. We lived in the Love Shack Trailer in Egin, ID. Though a bit far from town, we enjoyed ourselves and gained great friendships. In April 2008, we moved a few miles to Hibbard, near Rexburg. In September Baby Addyson entered our family; truly blessing our lives, hearts, and home.

LAST WEEK'S ADVENTURES

8 lbs 3 oz, 21 1/2 in long, and SHOTS!
Monday started out a little rough with Addyson's 2 month doctor visit and the shots that come with it. Her statistics were fabulous, I didn't mind watching her get the shots, but the aftermath...oh the aftermath. When we got home, Addyson just cried and cried and cried. I am a great mom and do not own a bottle of infant Tylenol. So she cried and cried more. That afternoon my wonderful sister-in-law, Christina, brought over some Tylenol and offered to take Addy for a bit, so I could get composed. I really appreciated it.
Image
The bath helped for a bit, but she did sleep like a log that night! Thank you Tylenol!

Our next event for the week was the Sugar Salem Elementary Christmas Program. For those who aren't familiar with this event, it is quite the ordeal and my mom and her buddy, Sandra, put it all together. This year's theme was "The reason for the Season." It was split into two nights to accommodate seating better. This is my mom doing her thing. The program was really great this year!
Image
The joys of my mother being in charge is the family support system.... AKA. Our new baby girl became Sugar's baby Jesus... And yes, Dan made the best Joseph! He was a great sport, but said the only reason he agreed to it was because there wasn't any speaking part.
Image
We walked in during a special musical number, Mary Did You Know, sung by the boy who stared in Sugar's High School play Les Miserables. It was beautiful. Then we just sat in the stable for for the rest of the show.

Addyson was so good for all the rehearsals, programs, and even all the kids mauling her after each event. She was a true superstar :) During the day rehearsals, each teacher brought their classes over to see the "Baby Jesus" and the kids ewe and awe over her. So much for my plan not to let too many people touch and breath over her! That is what she endured for four days. But it was all worth it! It was a special experience to represent that sacred family and time.
Image
The finale was very nice. The children sang a really special song while the angels hovered over the stable, and the Shepard's, wise men, and drummer boys all came to adore Jesus. It was quite special and memorable. Thanks Mom. You did a wonderful job!

THE BIG GAME!!!
THE BYU COUGARS VS THE UTAH STATE AGGIES

Image
Back when Addy was blessed, my cousins invited us to join them at the Delta Center for the big game. So they got us tickets as well as dressed us in their USU attire to attend. It was a great time and the whole game was close. The Cougs took home the victory, but I didn't have a preference, so my feelings weren't hurt.

Image
Reed and Joni are season ticket holders, so they got really good seats down below. Joni didn't really like living on Holman late time because she didn't want to miss a thing. They all took the track, while Dan and I drove to the Delta because we were coming from dropping off Addy at my friend, Morgan's. We beat them their, but luckily they made it just in time for tip off! Thanks Reed, Joni, Josh, and Ash!

Most of our group: Josh & Ashely Hoth, Bryan & Romina Holman, and us..Dan & Brooke

Not only is Romina such a babe, she is a total sport!!! She could have had her baby any day and was having contractions all that day, but she still joined the party. She did end up having her baby today. Congrats Bry and RO! (Samantha Holman 7 lbs 3 oz, 19 1/2 in I think) We love you!

Thanksgivng with Family and Daniel's Birthday

Well, no we didn't fall off the face of the earth. Nor did we break our cameras. I am just now finally getting to this. Our Thanksgiving was wonderful! My sister came up from Arizona and it was wonderful to see her and show her little Addy. The night befor the big feasts, the Holman clan made a trip to Fongs so Tyree could get his fix while in Idaho. PS. My family loves Fongs so it was natural for the Arizonians to miss it!
I let Dan and Addyson sleep in on Thanksgiving morning while I made my awesome green salad :) Then we went to DeVerl's & Pat's for delicious grub! The sun was shining, the weather was just right, so we all headed out back for some skeet shooting. Most of us gave it a go. I don't want to brag, but I nailed one on my first try :) Okay, I know it was luck. It was fun to watch all my brother-in-laws getting excited to show their kids how to shoot. I decided that if times get rough, I am moving in with Jed and Angie, cuz Jed can sure shoot!
We enjoyed a second Thanksgiving feast with my family, aunts, uncles, cousins, you name it! We grubbed at my Uncle Keith's & Aunt Zulma's and enjoyed every bite! Then we hit a late movie with a bunch of my family members. It was such a great day! I have so much to be thankful for! But most of all, I am so greatful for my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with such a wonderful husband, baby girl, and two terrific families!

We made a trip up the snowy roads to Mesa Falls for Daniel's birthday. We just wanted a nice afternoon roadtrip together. Okay, I did, but I hope he enjoyed it. I made him pumpkin squares instead of cake, because I knew he likes it a lot. It was my first go at them, and I think I am just a natural Betty Crocker...NOT!

I was just checking up on people and their blogs, when I ran across this. After reading my friends, I was a little curious to see which character princess I was. I'd have to say I was a little surprised...and I might just have to add... I don't think Mulan was a princess! So I must not be one either :( We are both just stubborn family girls! But of course, I have kicked boy's trash in my day! I guess Mulan and I are alike!

You Are Mulan!

Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.

The Daniel Stoddard Family

Image

Well, I got suckered in again! About a month ago I went and got Addyson's first pictures. But then I decided we should utilize those free picture coupons and get some family pictures. I had a plan; I was only going to get the deal on the coupon. But then they start pulling out the big guns: The pictures of her smiling and especially smiling at us! We loved them! I couldn't resist. I bought the disk. So, I am looking at the bright side...now you all get to enjoy what we did yesterday!

We are finally sure they are not just gas bubbles anymore! Addy has the cutest little smile! She has Dan's cute dimples! Here she is helping me finish up the laundry.

Addyson's Blessing Day

Image

This last weekend was wonderful! Sunday was Addyson's Blessing day, so it was just a great weekend. Saturday morning we got to an early start of making food for the next day's event. But first off I did my awesome Turbo Jam workout video to get me all fired up for the day! :) Yep, back to working out! Dan took off to his parents in Egin. We were borrowing his mom's big roasters (thank you so much Pat!) Meanwhile, my wonderful mom jammed in helping me to her way too busy day-I don't know where her crazy energy comes from-she sure didn't pass it on to me! The three of us cooked up all the meat and got all the salads made. That evening we went out to my Aunt Kathy & Uncle Burt's for a huge dinner with a big guest load of relatives. It was so wonderful to see my aunts, uncles, and cousins. But when we got home around 10:30, we walked into a burnt meat smelling home. One of our roasters didn't have enough liquid in it and some of our 25 pounds of pork roast burnt. We were devastated and so discouraged, thinking we wouldn't have enough for the luncheon. At 11:30 our doorbell rang and we were pleasantly surprised to find my little brother, Todd and best friend, Morgan had tricked me and ended up coming up. I was so excited. Well that was a late night, or maybe the morning just came way earlier! But the next day was wonderful! The blessing was wonderful and we did have enough meat at the luncheon. In fact, probably could have fed another 75 people! We want to thank all of our wonderful family and friends for coming and sharing that special day for Addy. Here are some of our pictures from that day.

Image
Dan did such a wonderful job! We love our baby so much! She is such a precious little angel who has touched our lives! She has truly brought a special spirit into our home! We loved sharing her day!

She looked so amazing! Thank you mom for the dress. I guess I should tell the story of the dress. My mom usually makes the baby blessing dresses, but the place in Utah where she usually gets her fabric stopped making it! She looked everywhere for the beautiful material, but time was not on her side. So we looked on the Internet for dresses and this one was the one that I kept going back to. However, the only size was a 9 month old. I just could not find any that I loved more than this because this one looked like the one my mom makes. So my mom said she could alter it and so we ordered it. Amazingly enough the store was just in Blackfoot. A week and a half went by and no dress came. My mom called in a panic with just 4 days to spare to say that somehow the order got canceled. So next morning she called the lady in her panic. Later the lady called back to say that out of nowhere she found a size 3 months in the storage! The wonderful lady took it herself and put it in the mail. My mom of course still had to alter it for tiny Addy, but we know there was a greater hand involved! She was beautiful! The Afghan was from Bethlehem when Daniel visited there. It was beautiful and so delicate!

Halloween 2008

So I decided that Halloween is 10 times better when you have kids... or in our case...at least one! Our Halloween started a week early with Jennie and Justin Miller's annual party. It was great! The theme this year was Famous Couples or Duos. Dan and I were Shrek and Fiona at the last minute. We even danced in front of everyone! It was great!

Here is our beauty, Addy. She is Dad and Mom's little angel. We couldn't find a costume small enough for her to wear. So my creative mother brought over a Victoria Secret ballerina angel bear. And what would ya know, it's outfit fit Addy. She looked adorable!

This is Some of my family in Tennessee. Last Week Rick and Brit went to visit Blake and Chantelle. While they were there, they were able to go trick-or-treating with the girls... I just liked Rick's costume :)
We hit up the Egin Trunker Treat to see some of our old friends. Afterwards we went over to Weston and Mandi Crapos for dinner with some of our friends.

Coming to terms with the Tags...

I have been tagged a couple times by some of my friends and family. It has been a while, but I am going to make my attempt to reply to them.

Here are the rules:
1. Link the Person who Tagged you.
2. Mention rules on your blog.
3. Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.
5. Leave a comment to let them know.

It was a little difficult at first to think of some quirks about myself. Dan's weird habits were much easier to think of! So Dan had to start my mind going by reminding me...

1. When I am thinking hard, I move my tongue side-to-side, quickly, making a clicking noise...kind of sounds like a tongue bar piercing.
2. As I am doing my hair, I make a pucker face right until I am done and then maintain it as I examine/model the end product (that is the one Dan reminded me of.)
3. I constantly pop my neck and back, over and over during the day.
4. After I shower everyday, I lather myself with TWO different lotions.
5. I can share the same glass of water, pop, juice, you name it...EXCEPT for milk!
6. Unlike Mandi Crapo, I have NO problem NOT shaving my legs more than once a week, even though my leg hairs are course, thick, and black. Yes, poor Dan! That is why I have always slept in pants ever since puberty.
7. I just thought of this one...I can't stand to be in public and most of the time even look in the mirror at myself without eye liner. I just look too much like a boy without it I think.
I tag Karin, Suzy, Steph, Tara, Lacy, and my Dad :)

And for the Wedding blog from Chantelle... Kerri Moser did my pictures and she did an amazing job! I absolutely loved my pictures, so I was excited to get this tag!
Image
Dan and I, my sister, and Kerri went to the temple a couple nights prior to our wedding to get most of our pictures with the better lighting. It was awesome because on our wedding day it was so blasted hot and we didnt have to take as many.

Addy helping Daddy at Work

So Addyson and I have quickly become bored with our daily outings to the mailbox and back... So we decided to go visit Dan the last couple days...Sorry to those that get annoyed with my common face there and the little amount of work that gets done when our beauty goes to visit and help her daddy! Looks like they both are asleep on the job!
Image
Okay, maybe just Addyson...Dont worry, she was well supervised in this photo!
