Monday started out a little rough with Addyson's 2 month doctor visit and the shots that come with it. Her statistics were fabulous, I didn't mind watching her get the shots, but the aftermath...oh the aftermath. When we got home, Addyson just cried and cried and cried. I am a great mom and do not own a bottle of infant Tylenol. So she cried and cried more. That afternoon my wonderful sister-in-law, Christina, brought over some Tylenol and offered to take Addy for a bit, so I could get composed. I really appreciated it.
The bath helped for a bit, but she did sleep like a log that night! Thank you Tylenol!
Our next event for the week was the Sugar Salem Elementary Christmas Program. For those who aren't familiar with this event, it is quite the ordeal and my mom and her buddy, Sandra, put it all together. This year's theme was "The reason for the Season." It was split into two nights to accommodate seating better. This is my mom doing her thing. The program was really great this year!
The joys of my mother being in charge is the family support system.... AKA. Our new baby girl became Sugar's baby Jesus... And yes, Dan made the best Joseph! He was a great sport, but said the only reason he agreed to it was because there wasn't any speaking part.
We walked in during a special musical number, Mary Did You Know, sung by the boy who stared in Sugar's High School play Les Miserables. It was beautiful. Then we just sat in the stable for for the rest of the show.
Addyson was so good for all the rehearsals, programs, and even all the kids mauling her after each event. She was a true superstar :) During the day rehearsals, each teacher brought their classes over to see the "Baby Jesus" and the kids ewe and awe over her. So much for my plan not to let too many people touch and breath over her! That is what she endured for four days. But it was all worth it! It was a special experience to represent that sacred family and time.
The finale was very nice. The children sang a really special song while the angels hovered over the stable, and the Shepard's, wise men, and drummer boys all came to adore Jesus. It was quite special and memorable. Thanks Mom. You did a wonderful job!
THE BIG GAME!!!
THE BYU COUGARS VS THE UTAH STATE AGGIES
Back when Addy was blessed, my cousins invited us to join them at the Delta Center for the big game. So they got us tickets as well as dressed us in their USU attire to attend. It was a great time and the whole game was close. The Cougs took home the victory, but I didn't have a preference, so my feelings weren't hurt.
Reed and Joni are season ticket holders, so they got really good seats down below. Joni didn't really like living on Holman late time because she didn't want to miss a thing. They all took the track, while Dan and I drove to the Delta because we were coming from dropping off Addy at my friend, Morgan's. We beat them their, but luckily they made it just in time for tip off! Thanks Reed, Joni, Josh, and Ash!
Most of our group: Josh & Ashely Hoth, Bryan & Romina Holman, and us..Dan & Brooke
Not only is Romina such a babe, she is a total sport!!! She could have had her baby any day and was having contractions all that day, but she still joined the party. She did end up having her baby today. Congrats Bry and RO! (Samantha Holman 7 lbs 3 oz, 19 1/2 in I think) We love you!
