See...I'm going in order. LOL
For some reason we always are the busiest during the fall. I don't know if it's just that life gets slower or that there are more things that we like to do in the fall. There's the fairs, and G2's birthday, and the corn maze, and school starts, and Greenbluff and apple/pumpkin picking, and Halloween, and leaf piles to jump in. Just too much fun to be had.
Our favorite fair this year was the Interstate Fair in our neighbor to the West. Moo was old enough to enjoy the rides this year, although just a touch short of the "new" height requirements--luckily the carnies were willing to ignore that 1/2 inch discrepancy. G1 and G2 went with D to the "big kids" part of the rides...so I didn't get too many pictures of them having fun. Darn it. They are still too chicken to attempt the "haunted house" fun house. LOL For them the best part of the fair is the rides--D and I enjoyed the displays and we all enjoyed watching the "mutton busting". Luckily, G2 did not reiterate his request to "try it out" from last year.
Greenbluff was nice, but cold this year. We tried a new kind of apple (Ambrosia), the children picked their enormous pumpkins, and a good time was had by all. We didn't do the maze with the castle this year due to the crowds, much to G2's dismay--but, honey sticks were accepted in lieu.
This year we did all THREE mazes at the corn maze! Man, were we pooped by the time we were done--but happy. We only got lost (reaaaaally lost) once...a new record. The Moo decided she was done after the first maze and pretty much had to be dragged kicking and screaming through the other two. We realized afterward that we had made the mistake of trying out the mazes smack dab during her nap time. That would explain why she curled up on the ground and fell asleep. Oh well...20/20 hindsight and all that. She was more than happy to slurp on the strawberry freeze from Sonics when we were done. :D
Don't worry, I'm not doing Halloween again. Just scroll down if you're interested.
We don't have trees. There are trees on the lot next to us, but they are late leaf droppers. This year D went to the church (where there are lots of trees) and scooped up an entire trunk's worth of leaves for the children to play in. They were thrilled.

Summer 2009
So...catch up time. LOL
Although we had an eventful summer...I don't seem to have a lot of pictures.
*scratches head in confusion*
Oh well.
Below is what I have evidently. LOL
The first are of my "garden". Due to a VERY late spring, I didn't have time to get the full garden up and running--so I chose to do container gardening...and mostly herbs at that. As usual, my Pineapple Sage and Chocolate Mint dominated with the 4 kinds of Basil limping along until the end of the summer--the Queen of Siam Basil was amazing to smell. I even had a volunteer Chocolate Mint. Thyme is just thyme. :D Check out my Rosemary, though--I've nursed it through 3 winters now! We experimented with container gardening with a couple veggies too. Result? Upside down tomatoes...fantastic. Container zucchini--not. Our favorite tomato was the Bloody Butcher (I couldn't resist the name)--small like a Roma, but tart in flavor.
The next three are of our 4th of July feast--I only have pictures of the children eating?
*shakes head*
Next is during the reunion we attended in August. It was Moo's first experience with the lake, so I seem to have more of her... At the reunion we attended the wedding of my nephew and so I have a few of G1 there too.
I swear we did more than that this summer. Seems like we were always going somewhere...
*mumbles something about memory and old age before shuffling off*
