Thanksgiving Weekend!!

Life has been a little tough since the new lockdown. DeA and I escaped to Idaho for a few days, it was nice to get away but it wore her out.
Image
Rock has been to the office a few times because of his school schedule. The other two kids didn't really like that, so Ryker skipped school one day to come with me. As always, it involved a business lunch.
Image
Jensley came a few days later and had a business smoothie.

Hadley came over with her parents for Thanksgiving. Hadley found some of Gma's secret stash of Oreos.
Image
My kids claim that they knew nothing about it.
Image
The best part of Thanksgiving is not the food, or even family. It's the Turkey Bowl. This was the first year that all three kids wanted to ball out.
Image
Jens played great and here she is taking it to the house!!

Ryker played a little QB and made os solid passes.

We didn't have the biggest turnout, mostly because of Covid, but it was still a fun day.

Image
DeA and Hadley hung out at home, away from the fun.
Image
We had a small Thanksgiving dinner with only Mom and Dad, us, Nick's group, and Doug and Jama. We took wonderful naps and then relaxed and watched football and BYU basketball.
Image
I helped Dad cut some of our firewood Friday morning while the kids did some cutting of their own.

Beast Mode!!

We got some decorations put up, way earlier than last year.

Saturday morning we drove out to find a Christmas tree. Leo didn't want to be left behind, he insisted on piling in with the kids. Ryker didn't mind the crowding.
Image
Hadley and Cambri noticed that DeA was hiding delicious leftover pie and tried to get some for themselves. You will notice that there is no tree in the tree corner...that's because we put it up in a stand that didn't work and it tipped and dumped water all over the floor. Now it's sitting on the front porch while we wait to get a new stand.

Weirdest Fall Ever

This fall has been weird. School has been mostly online. DeA loves the kids, but she needs her routine.
Image
After what seemed like forever, Jens got to go to school a few hours a day. She was pretty excited.
Image
The weather this fall has been crazy. One minute great, the next minute windy and cold.

Halloween is going to be weird this year, but the kids still want costumes.
Image
Ryker ordered his costume and had it delivered to the office. He came in with me to do his Zoom classes and to watch for the UPS guy.
Image
He wasn't very patient.
Image
Thankfully his costume showed up right before I went to the gym. Wacky inflatable waving arm guy came with me to get jacked.
Image
He wouldn't take the thing off.
Image
Jens was the cutest little witch ever.
Image
Pumpkins!
Image
It was nice, I didn't have to carve a single pumpkin.
Image

Image
It was nice to have Halloween on a Saturday. We stopped by Maddy and Josue's and grabbed Chechei. He came with us to the church Trunk or Treat.
Image
Ryker started about three weeks after Jens. He wasn't quite as excited as Funshine.
Image
Jens and Ryker were back in school part time, but Rock still had to be online. That meant that he could come to work with me and walk to get breakfast and lunch.
Image
Leo never goes to school, so he begged to come, too.
Image
He's basically a floor mat.
Image
Fall is definitely here and in full swing.
Image
The Funshine and Rock wanted to go to Don Morse and do some sick tricks on the half-pipe. It was gnarly.
Image
It's still fall, even if it looks like winter.
Image
If you ask DeA, it feels like winter nine months out of the year.

Fall is Here

After work on Friday, I drove to Everett to help Nick move the next day. Hadley helped by checking the ladders and step-stools.
Image
Cambri loved crawling after Grandma and helping to clean the floors.
Image
I had to come home Saturday afternoon and ran into snow on Stevens. I guess summer is officially over.
Image
A wet, cold afternoon was made for football and the first real fire in the fireplace.
Image
Leo liked it too, as long as he got head scratches.
Image
The reason I had to come home Saturday was Rock and I had talks in church Sunday. He was a little nervous but did really well. After, he said it was kind of fun and he would like to do it again. I guess he doesn't only take after his mom after all.
Image
DeA liked the fire, but decided to take things one step further and to wear cozy jammies.
Image
Doesn't it just look fall-ish out there?
Image
Jens finally got to spend part of the day in school! She goes for three hours in the mornings instead of doing Zoom calls!
Image
There was a bunch of new snow up on the mountains and it actually felt chilly.
Image
A pretty cold and rainy storm blew through and ruffled the flag quite a bit.
