The Deadline Q&A
TV HBO Chief Casey Bloys On ‘Heated Rivalry’, ‘The Pitt’, ‘Seven Kingdoms’, ‘Industry’, ‘HoD’ End & ‘Euphoria’ Future
It’s been an eventful few weeks for HBO/HBO Max with a string of strong releases. Starting with the unlikely breakout of the gay-romance hockey drama – a low-key Canadian acquisition that took America by storm – and including the Noah Wyle hospital drama, ‘GoT’ prequel and the sleeper-hit financial thriller. All four are delivering big viewership at reasonable price tags, a fraction of the $20 million-an-episode ‘House of the Dragon’ and other big-scale shows reportedly cost. Deadline’s Editor-in-Chief Nellie Andreeva caught up with Bloys for a wide-ranging interview about all that and more.
