Magnum Cafe @ Midvalley, KL

The hype was kinda obvious when we wanted to check out some store at 3rd floor of Midvalley, KL. I knew about the recently launched Magnum cafe but I was not expecting the queue to be that long! And since we have ample time before going for another function right after the 8share lunch, we thought why not having a piece of this much talked about magnum ice cream. 

We stood for almost 20-30 minutes for a RM9.90 piece of mixed indgredients of Magnum ice cream with coated chocolate. True to be told, it was 'nice from far but far from nice when eaten'. Anyway thanks Nonie for the treat but we told ourselves that probably first and last.. haha.. It was too sweet and hard to enjoy a savory dessert. But it could be just our liking might not be the same as others. If you have not, you could give it a try and give your own comment. 

Deco of the cafe is nice but limited space to dine in. You may also opt to sit upstairs and order some dessert or hot drinks.

8share First gathering at Nando's Sunway Giza!

2 weeks ago, i was one of the lucky 8share's user to be invited for their 1st ever gathering!. Thank you 8share for the invitation, goodies, food and of course good times! It was held at Nando's Sunway Giza Shopping Mall, Kota Damansara and yes we get to taste their latest promotion meals which come in the set of four! #8sharexNandos.

In conjunction with Nando's "Make friends" latest promotion meals, the gathering was indeed a great way for all us the 8sharer to finally meet up face to face. There are some familiar faces where we only 'greet' via online but finally we managed to catch up and it was a good start for ice breaking.

Sheila was the MC and was very warm and friendly to welcome all of us. After the introduction session, there were Q&A session where we get to ask the staff (Grace, Brandon, Lee Yee) on what 8share meant. The  number '8' its actually signify a shape of infinity and the sharing doesn't end there..aahhh so now we know. Beside that we were also wondering who is YUNA (the admin that has been diligently replying all our enquiries and sending emails for any notification)..which at the end, was kept as mysterious person behind the scenes.

Pulau Banding & Pulau Tali Kail

Woke up so early this morning,,im not the person that go to bed so early

Krabi : Scooter Ride Adventure & Night Market -Day 3

The journey supposed to be about 20-25 minutes by car but since it was a scooter ride, i felt the journey was like forever...haha almost 30-40 minutes but on the way back i feel the journey was even longer than ive expected. with pitch dark road and suddenly the road are no longer familiar to us 2 girls in a foreign land, my heart beat has elevated tremendously within seconds.

Belum Rainforest Resort, Banding

Dah ke BELUM? Well thanks to Belum Rainforest, I get the chance to experience the beautiful rainforest of Belum for a quick getaway last weekend. It was at Pulau/Tasik Banding near Gerik, Perak and I drove for almost 6 hours with 2 pit stops along the way from KL using the North-South Express Highway and exit to Kuala Kangsar before venturing into Lenggong and finally Gerik. Before reaching Simpang Pulai, we noticed the huge sign of Mydin and Agro mall on our left and since it was time for lunch, we decided to check the place. Nothing much just some few stalls selling fruits and on the other corner there was wet mini markets selling vegetables, chicken and some fishes.

Once you are in Gerik town, just go straight after a small roundabout and look out for Belum Rainforest signage as you need to turn right after the traffic light and after 20 minutes drive, you will finally see the huge ROYAL BELUM signage on a hill across the bridge. This is the bridge that connects the north to the east coast so imagine those days before the installation of the bridge, it was crazy long hours drive!

Finally we  arrived! We checked-in and found out that the room was at ground floor, so we requested for one floor above hoping that it would be a nice lake view. We managed to change the room but since the standing tall trees keep growing, the lake view is bearly visible however with the greens all around us, it is still a good way of waking up! :)

 After settled our things in the room, we decided to check out this place. Oh ya, parking lot is available but quite limited if its packed. The resort look a bit old or maybe the design made the place look as such, I personally think some maintenance works need to be taken care here and staff should be trained on how to be more customer oriented. I'm not telling they are not friendly but they are too shy to approach us! Only the more prominent post staff are willing to paint a smile and say hi or to guide us what to do over here. haha.. Actually there are so many activities to do here infact there are lot of hidden stories that we discovered along the way with the local villagers that willing to share. Well..this resort have so much to offer but lacking of proactive staff to deliver it..hope there will be more room for improvement in the near future for Belum Resort.

As we were walking around the resort, En Fauzi approached us and offer to show us around. Guess it was our lucky treat, we managed to view the superior room and private posh villa as well. The house boat is also a nice place to stay, but perhaps next time as there were only 2 of us.

After checking the place we went to reception to check out the packages. Since I am not fit to enter the jungle, so we skipped and plan to do something else tomorrow. went to the room and ate our delicious sandwiches. went to bed so early coz it was so silent and quiet and nothing to do but to rest..hehe

 

Will update soon on the 2nd day where we managed to round the island via speed boat and another place for hill top view .simply magnificent especially after rain as we saw the rainbow and the clouds caressing the trees.. wait for it! :)

Laman Seni 7 #lorongbelakang Shah Alam

If you have a fetish on street art like me, then visiting the Laman Seni 7 would be a good place to visit. Be it for a photoshoot or just admiring those creative graffiti drawn by creative local artists. The place was named as Laman Seni 7 synonym with the street art located at Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. Just behind Subway and Tuti Fruti. Try keying in as Jalan Plumbum Q 7/Q, Seksyen 7 , Shah Alam into your google maps for direction. Initially my sister didnt want to go, but since I'm incharged, so follow my lead..haha

Upon reaching there during the Raya Haji holiday, it was packed with people. So I have to wait till there are no one passing for a decent photo..haha. so most of the photos here looked as if there are no visitors right? mind you, the sun was blazing hot. So please bring your shade and put on some SPF lotion.

This place is getting famous now and really cool especially the 3D art street. its free so just come and check it out. Thanks to Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam for the initiate to make the behind alley (lorong belakang) looking more interesting, safe and creative.
