Our field trip for last weekend was cancelled do to a typhoon. Yup, we experienced our first tropical storm last Saturday and boy was it a doozy! The winds and rain kept me up all night, I couldn't believe how loud it was. At 3:00 Ty decided the winds were so strong that maybe we should take down our satellite dish.... Not a good idea. After awhile I went out to help and it was just crazy. I was only out with him for a few minutes and got completely soaked. The dish was on pretty tight and after losing one of our tools in the storm we decided to come back in. The kids all did pretty well, Josh woke up and wanted to play around 4, but otherwise the storm didn't seem to bother them. Anyway, since it's the 4th of July weekend Tyler will have Monday and Tuesday off and he's already planned a lot of fun things for us to do. I'm excited to see more of Japan and of course to post pictures of our excursions. Below are just some cute pictures of the kids over the past couple weeks. They are such a joy, I love them all so much!

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
On Saturday we went to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. This may have been my favorite field trip so far, mostly because Josh had so much fun. He loved watching the fish. It was so fun to see his face as he watched these amazing fish go swimming by. I loved the sea turtles, they were just so cute. Our day got cut a little short because of the heat, but we still had an amazing time at the Aquarium.

Josh's First Birthday
On June 16, 2010 our prayers for starting a family were finally answered. After several long years of trying we were finally blessed with a beautiful little boy. Josh has been an amazing addition to our family. He is the happiest little baby, very quick to smile and has a huge love for life. Some of his favorite things: peanut butter sandwhiches, our puppy Charlie, singing songs, his grandparents, he adores Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, he loves his little twins, and of course mom and dad. I am so grateful to have Josh in my life, he makes me a better person and has a way of making everyone fall in love with him. The people of Japan love Joshy, they all want to meet him, take his picture and play with him. He really is a joy and this past year has been the best of our lives!
