Oops...burnt toast!!!

Never have been much of a master cook but burnt toast is an all new low. You're probably wondering how I burnt the toast...well once I get on the computer I take little regard for anything happening around me. I started to smell something burning but thought it was coming from outside...I did do better on the second try though.
Image The burnt toast wasn't the best tasting but I don't have enough money to let bread go to waste!

St. George Trip

Last weekend my roommates and I took a road trip to St. George to see the Les Miserables musical. It was a short trip but fun! We arrived late Friday night and slept in the back yard of some friend's uncle’s home. A little random I know. Around 5 a.m. my blanket just wasn't doing it so I moved to the back seat of our car!

Saturday morning we hiked Red Cliffs trail. We were hoping for water to play in but it had all dried up so after the hike we spent three hours swimming at a local community pool. After that we ate and headed to the musical. Les Miserables was a great show and I would recommend it…maybe a little long but still good. As soon as the performance was over we made a mad dash to our car so we could make a quick escape and head home...we finally arrived in Salt Lake around 5 a.m. on Sunday. Church is at 9 a.m. so we were all a little sleep deprived. It was a great trip and I will post pictures soon...

U hike!

Late Sunday night Mike, Shane, and I hiked up to the top of the "U". It actually is about a five minute hike to the top...that wasn't good enough for Mike so we hiked to the top of hill above the U. Not a good idea. It was a lot longer and steeper than we anticipated it to be. But we took some fun pictures!Image

Flash Back - 1988

Family pictures...aren't they great! Maybe we have more but this is the only picture I know of that has all of the "men" of the family in it. I just love these two pictures. I can't get over the size of Tyler's glasses, Angie's (and all of the girls) hair style, and you can't help but just love Courtney's eyes and smile. Just by this picture alone you can see why everyone called her a munchkin!

Moab Trip - Camping is in tents

Last weekend nine of us went for a two day camping trip in Moab. We repelled off of Morning Glory & Corona Aches. Both arches are about 100+ feet high. It was pretty intense because when we repelled off of Morning Glory we had two people go at once and their individual weight acted as the resistance to support one another. A little scary, huh!?!

Image Travis and Brett (he is on the other side of the arch) going off Moring Glory. It was kind of scary when Brett's weight started to pull Travis towards him.
ImageImageCorona Arch - it was a steep hike to get on top...a 150 pound pack of ropes did not help much.

I got more pictures!!!!

FORE!!!

For a group date we went to Ensign Peak and with the liquid from glow sticks we covered a bunch of golf balls then took turns hitting them off the peak. It was fun to see them soar out into the dark night...or in my case see the golf ball plummet straight downward!

Image That is probably the same look I had after I hit the ball.
