And I'm think I'm done
With Blurb no longer slurping blogs to books, I think I am going to call my blogging quits and just put my stuff straight into a book. Sad, but really my purpose of blogging is to journal my family's happenings so I can put them in a book. The blog has kind of been one extra step, and now its not as useful as it used to be. I will get the books done much faster, now that I'm not doing everything twice over. Even with slurping it was extra work to reorganize everything.

December Part Two
So many wonderful things going on in our lives! I helped in Lauren's Kindergarten class making "gingerbread trees." Austin really wanted to come to help, but Mrs. Lindstrom let him make one too. She sure loves the kids and knows how to spoil them!
Dylan had a Jazz Band concert at the high school. Its always so hard to see him. He is on hte back row, 7 people from the right with his head just showing.
I "straightened" Ashlyn's hair because she saw me doing Lauren's This is as straight as it gets! She wanted me to take a picture. And then Lauren (ahem, I mean Miss Knight in Shining Armor) wanted in on the picture too.
Jayden, Ethan, Austin, and Lauren had the school Christmas Sing. All the other kids I recorded on the camcorder to try and get better video quality, so I didn't get pictures of them. When I got to Lauren, it just wouldn't work, so I switched to my phone, which let me take a picture of her cute class.
During Christmas Break we went to Classic Skating again so Ethan could try out his new rollerblades. I have been so surprised to see how much the kids love skating.
Grandma Gibson was sick through the holidays, having a really rough time. She was in the hospital the week between Christmas and New Years, and also for two days right before Christmas. Our typical New Years party didn't happen. So, we stayed home and had some fun as a family. I remembered about some foam covered glow sticks I bought probably 6 or 7 years ago. We pulled them out and had some sword fights, and then we started to play dodge ball in the dark with them. It was a lot of fun! We also played some games and watched some movies. After celebrating the New Year inside, Ethan had some sparklers for us to celebrate outside with. It was so nice of him to share with us!

Christmas Day
The magic of Christmas morning! I really love it! This was another wonderful Christmas at our home. The kids had fun. They were surprised and happy. Even Josie was an angel and left everything alone - we really weren't sure what to expect, and were wonderfully surprised. The kids were excited to give her presents too. Dylan loves to make home made presents, and this year he made a few of them. He made a mug for me to replace the mug he accidentally broke. He also made a cool dragon for Austin. Both of them he made in his ceramics class. Ashlyn really wanted a Sofia doll. Lauren wanted a remote control dog with a leash. Austin wanted a Lego set. Ethan wanted rollerblades. Jayden wanted Fifa 17 for the XBox 360. Dylan wanted all sorts of things and got a new phone and an aircraft carrier set. Yup, spoiled and had lots of fun!
With Christmas on Sunday, we had Church in the afternoon at our usual time, but only sacrament meeting. After that Jayden got the best Christmas present and received the Aaronic Priesthood. Grandma and Grandpa Kirk stopped by to visit for a bit after that. Then when they left we went to the Gibson's for a Christmas dinner. We were glad to see that Grandma was looking a little better today than she did yesterday. But she is still very sick.
Overall, we had such a wonderful Christmas. This is one to remember and enjoy the memories.
