July

I snapped a few pictures of Grandma with the Grandkids as we sang happy birthday to her on our birthday Sunday (it wasn't actually her birthday yet).

Ashlyn was so excited when I braided her hair for the first time!

Once the summer started I stopped making Ashlyn take naps every day.  She's in that tricky phase where she kind of needs them, but doesn't totally.

 Free slurpees on 7/11 day.

The kids had fun making their superforts again.

Last summer I took all the kids out to do something just me and them, and it was so much fun!  So I decided to do it again this summer.  Here is my date with Austin.

Seven Peaks waterpark is always a lot of fun! We went one day with the Terrazas Family.  So many kids and so much fun!

The kids love to take their report cards to Krispy Kreme.  We got 24 doughnuts between the four kids' report cards!

Jayden is playing for a team called Clutch in the AAA league.  They had their first chance to play together at a tournament.  It was kind of rough going, but they showed a lot of improvement by the end of the tournament.

The kids were disappointed we never got fireworks for the 4th, so we picked some up and did them the day after the 24th.

My good friend Linda Rainey and her daughter Vanessa came out to visit.  We got to hang out for a whole day. I loved spending time with them.  I just can't figure out why I didn't take a picture of me and Linda!

Josie sure is loved at our house.

Dylan had his double overnighter at the end of July.  Camping is totally his thing.

Happy 4th of July

Dylan and I started off the fun day with running the 5k at the Murray Parade.  It was his first 5K and he did awesome! If he keeps training, he will be one fast runner! He has some natural speed.

The kids always love the parade, and of course the candy is just a bonus, right?

The kids always love to do the money scramble.  Its kind of painful watching the little ones because you know there is so much money right under them and they just don't see it.  My older boys usually find a dollar or two.
Image

Steve, Ben, and Devon did the yoyo competition.  No one really had a chance of winning with Devon in there. He is Mr. Hobby.
Image

And of course we had lots of fun swimming with the Gibsons.
Image

Image

Ethan was having a belly flop contest with his cousins.  I think he has that belly flop thing down.  Ouch!
Image

The kids always love when Grandpa joins in the fun.
Image

The kids and some of the dads were having fun throwing a ball to the crowd.
Image

Image

Colby took them all by surprise one of the times.
Image

Image

Jayden had some pretty cool hair.
Image

And then we went back to Murray Park to hang out and watch some fireworks.  Lauren and Kaden are good buddies, can you tell?
