Hackathons are fun, sitting at a computer screen isn't healthy.To combat this we made an interactive web app which gives hackers simple to do exercises while hacking to keep them refreshed and healthy

Inspiration

We saw the sad reality that people often attending hackathons don't exercise regularly or do so while coding. We decided to come up with a solution

What it does

Lets a user log in, and watch short fitness videos of exercises they can do while attending a hackathon

How we built it

We used HTML & CSS for the frontend, python & sqlite3 for the backend and django to merge all three. We also deployed a DCL worker

Challenges we ran into

Learning django and authenticating users in a short span of time

Getting a functioning webapp up in a short time

How do design a website, how to deploy a website, simple HTML, python objects, django header tags

What's next for ActiveHawk

We want to make activehawk the Tiktok of hackathon fitness. we plan on adding more functionality for apps as well as a live chat room for instructors using the Twello api
