Inspiration & What it does

We're excited to present our web application, shining a spotlight on Ada Lovelace, the world's first computer scientist! Our platform features an introduction to Ada Lovelace and her enduring legacy, as well as an interactive display of the Analytical Engine, the early mechanical computer conceptualized by Lovelace. Users can hover over different parts of the machine to learn about its components, creating an engaging learning experience. We also explore the computational concepts conceptualized by her that are highly relevant to the modern computer science field, serving as fundamental principles upon which everything is built.

How we built it & Challenges

We chose HTML and CSS to build this educational platform, making it accessible and visually captivating educational platform. Our experience involved overcoming challenges, particularly in coding an interactive hover feature to emulate a dynamic pictorial book.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Beyond showcasing Ada's pioneering spirit, our project is a testament to her impact on the advancement of STEM fields. We aspire to inspire more women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, honoring her legacy and paving the way for future generations of female innovators. Join us on this journey as we celebrate Ada Lovelace and her enduring influence on the world of computer science!

What we learned

We've gained valuable insights during this hackathon, including mastering the basics of React and revisiting HTML and CSS together. Through collaborative efforts, we've deepened our understanding of how web applications function, equipping each team member with experiences that will propel our individual projects forward in the future.
