Inspiration - The idea came from a powerful thought: What if AI could instantly connect people with critical healthcare services, saving time and lives? Emergencies and routine care often suffer from delays and a lack of coordination. We wanted to change that. One of our team members Niti Praveen, told us about the problem she faced in searching for breastmilk for her newborn, and that was the kick start of the discussion to build something which is a real-time issue!
What it does - AgentCare is an AI-powered assistant that streamlines access to essential healthcare services. It helps users:
Donate blood by collecting their information and matching them with nearby hospitals. Request blood by finding matching donors based on zip code and blood type. Find vaccinations by locating nearby centers for flu, COVID, and routine shots.
How we built it
We used a headless AI agent architecture that integrates real-time location-based search, user intent recognition, and healthcare-specific workflows. The agent handles natural conversation, collects required data, and returns actionable results.
Challenges we ran into
Implementing real-time donor and center matching via zip codes Balancing empathy and speed during critical requests Ensuring privacy and security of sensitive health data
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a multi-purpose agent covering blood donation, emergency requests, and vaccinations Created a reusable, embeddable tool for health orgs, NGOs, and community websites Designed with both social impact and operational ROI in mind
What we learned
Simplicity and empathy in design matter deeply in healthcare tech AI can bridge urgent gaps in healthcare access Real-world impact requires thoughtful use of automation, not just features
What's next for AgentCare
Expand to include breast milk donation Integrate with real-time hospital inventory systems Launch pilot programs with NGOs, clinics, and corporate CSR teams Add voice and multilingual support for better accessibility
