Inspiration

Governance voting in decentralized protocols lacks participation. In order to incentivize people to vote, we mint tokens based on their participation rate.

What it does

We have different categories of NFT. Based on the voting records, participant mints and unlocks different categories of NFT.

How we built it

We used create-solana-app for the frontend which is powered by NextAuth.js. For minting the NFT on the backend we used metaplex-anchor-nft

Challenges we ran into

It was our first time using solana dapp. so we ran into many issues. Also minting NFT in solana is not straight forward. We had to hack a lot of stuff.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The power of NFT in providing fair voting system in decentralized protocol governance is clear. We are proud to be learning and contributing to this field as we hack a simple prototype of what can be done.

What we learned

Define the project very well. Identify 2 painpoint that faces the ecosystem and focus on them. Start very small and make that one thing working.

What's next for alfazero

We have seen what can be achieved in such a short time if passionate people come together. We have to keep the passion alive and validate our product with users. Which mean keep building the right product so solve a painpoint.
