Inspiration
We wanted an easier way to teach kindergartners about the ardunio
What it does
It takes a command from one computer and sends it to an ardunio in a remote location. Also a webcam streams live video of the ardunio in live action back to the host computer.
How we built it
We used javafx for the gui and used java to stream video. We used c++ to program the ardunio to receive these commands and execute them.
Challenges we ran into
We had connectivity problems as usual and communicating between the host computer and the ardunio was a pain.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that we were finally able to establish a stable connection between the computer and the ardunio.
What we learned
We learned how to use network sockets to send data from one computer to another.
What's next for ardwano
We want to make the GUI look better and increase the commands that can be remotely sent to the ardunio.
