Inspiration

We wanted to create a game together using web development. My teammate started learning web development and wanted to utilize her skills.

What it does

The quiz has a username and password which you need to create. It contains five questions that represent five levels. The first three levels are the alphabets and the last two are phrases. The timer is a money meter which is set that every second, you lose $20, therefore, you must answer the question before you run out of time. After you select your answer you can choose to see which answer choice is what and learn the different letters and phrases of American Sign Language.

How we built it

We built it mostly on HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We used Firebase to create the user login and display the high scores

Challenges we ran into

Setting up the time and the login, implementing firebase and displaying the high score.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Achieving what we have until now. It was a lot of trial and error, but we finished a fun game and will continue to invest in it by adding more features and a lot better.

What we learned

We learned how to compromise on the small things, and how to use firebase

What's next for ASLGame

Developing more features, randomizing questions, making it multi-player and creating harder levels.
