Inspiration
I have been seeing a lot of content that is negative and toxic on social media. Some people don't think when they send a toxic and negative message on social media and when they end up sending it, they end up having a negative impact on others.
What it does
AstroAI takes in a text as input and uses AI/ML to detect if the message is toxic or uplifting.
How we built it
I built using the Flask framework of Python and for the AI/ML, I used Cohere classify. The project is hosted on Replit.
Challenges we ran into
I was working on this solo and was not able to complete the project based on the intended idea. I am just getting started with AI/ML and wanted to take as a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my first proper aI/ML project. While not complete, I was able to ship and launch a web app where it will let users if a message is toxic or uplifting.
What we learned
I got to learn a lot about AI/ML and the various libraries being offered.
What's next for AstroAI
Post this hackathon, I am going to continue working under the guidance of someone who is good at AI/ML and add more updates to this. Will also make a Discord bot and extension for web browsers.
