Inspiration

We are a team of a diversity of backgrounds. With the rising presence of IT in our everyday lives, we view the digitalisation as a window of opportunity for improvement in the workplace rather than a threat in replacing our jobs. Thus, we decided to focus on the accountancy sector as many of the processes in this sector still involve manual and routine work in accounts processing. Integrating IT into this sector can allow accountants to integrate IT skills into their work and improve work efficiency.

What it does

Our digital interface aims to automate manual and routine processes in the accountancy sector, by enabling the system to automatically process purchases and delivery processes.

How we built it

We utilised Balsamiq and OutSystems to create a user interface, to cater to the accountancy sector to expedite their processes. We also incorporated the functions of Botsociety to create a FAQ function to make the interface more user friendly.

Challenges we ran into

There is lack of time to fully understand the finance processes, as some of us are from a non-accountancy background. However, our member Lay Hoon, with many years of accounting experience, walked us through the various processes to increase our understanding of the prevailing problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We maximised our inputs based on our specialisations and expertise, and took advantage of our diverse backgrounds.

What we learned

We learnt that teamwork is fundamental to success. Finishing it under a tight deadline, it was only possible with the inputs of all the members together.
