Inspiration
Creating slides is time-consuming, especially when searching for relevant text and summarizing data. Drawing graphs and tables is also tedious. Using AI, we can automate this process, allowing us to focus on refining the content.
What it does
AutoSlides generates slides automatically from provided files or topics, extracting relevant data, summarizing text, and creating graphs and tables.
How we built it
We extract data from pdf and excel file, feed them to AI to generate json format result, and render them on canva.
Challenges we ran into
We faced difficulties in accurately summarizing text and extracting the right data. Integrating AI with Canva's API also posed challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully developing an AI-driven tool that simplifies slide creation and integrates smoothly with Canva.
What we learned
We learned how to effectively use AI for text summarization and data extraction, and how to integrate these capabilities with external platforms.
What's next for AutoSlides
We plan to improve the accuracy of data extraction and summarization, add more customization options, and expand compatibility with other presentation platforms.
