Inspiration

We were inspired by the theme "space." We all have an interest in science, each interests in something else. While working on our product we wanted to do something that had all three problems solved, so then, we came up with the "Auto-Tree"

What it does

There will be miniature turbines within the pipes that will act as filters and will be used to generate electricity. (power generation).

Using Biomass and any organic waste can be used as fertilizer in the soil. (soil and terrain).

This will enable trees to grow more efficiently, resulting in them releasing more oxygen into the atmosphere which will control unstable weather conditions. (unstable weather).

Auto-Tree would be a way to automatically grow trees, this works by having a sensor at a hose of water that starts the water flowing process every 2-3 days, the water will continually run for around one min before stopping for the next 2-3 days. The only thing you would have to do manually is using the hydrochloric acid to lower the pH level of the soil. This would be especially useful for the new Planet.

How we built it

As we wanted to solve all three problems, we came up with the Auto-Tree. For our digital model we used echoAR to bring Auto-Tree to life. If we were to make Auto-Tree in real life we would use a water supply (a hose), pipes, and a coded sensor, a tree seed, and an open area for planting. After constructing all pipelines underground, and adding the water supple with a coded sensor, trees would be planted above.

Challenges we ran into

One specific challenge we ran into was finding and collecting different unique and creative ideas to harness energy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

For all our team members, this was our first ever hackathon. Using our own knowledge and knowledge from the workshops we attended, we made our own creative ideas and overall our Auto-Tree. Doing this was a very achieving moment for us. Making our own ideas alone made us very proud.

What we learned

We learned about making soil more fertilized, biomass, and radio waves throughout this time.

What's next for AutoTree

We would like for Auto-Tree to expand all over planet Howler and maybe even into the other planets in the solar system where its habitable, this may include Earth as well.
