At the beginning of the hackathon, we brainstormed what reminded us of summer the most. Although this summer was filled with quarantine, we knew that summer wasn't really summer without a nice road trip!
Using radar.io, the team was able to use geotracking and geofencing to alert the user when they were close to a specific location they wanted to visit during their road trip. The user is then able to take photos of the location and have those photos be stored in the app so that the user can look back on the road trip and remember the fun times they had during the summer.
This web app was built using HTML, CSS, JS, Firebase, and radar.io. when dealing with radar.io, the team faced a number of challenges. For example, we had to figure out how to track the person's location at all times. We also had to set up the geofencing around the location in which the user would be visiting.
