Students have a hard time searching for short term rent near the university. Existing solutions include facebook groups to message buyers and sellers but it is cluttered and easy for students to get tricked into paying more for the residence than it is worth.

Solution

Bidding + Sublet = Bidlet

Bidlet is a one-stop platform for university students to bid and post housing sublets or leases.

This platform allows students to shop smartly for the best deal in town. As cost of residence is such a huge part of a student's budget, students can use this platform to not only optimize their profits on subletting their residence, they can also shop for the perfect residence they can afford.

This solution will bring a great positive social impact on many university students to show them a transparent bidding system that reflects realworld market supply and demand. It also teaches them to shop smartly and make more informed decision when renting.

Next steps

Build a payment integration to allow students to pay for their residence fees in any way they want.
