Inspiration
We wanted to make an an autonomous car that can deliver packages.
What it does
It delivers a package that can weigh up to 10 pounds by traversing the streets and following traffic rules. The iPhone sends live data to the Cloud Vision API, which allows the car to recognize traffic lights. GPS, SMS, and radar sensor modules help up automate the car as well as control it remotely.
How we built it
We built the car with two Arduinos, one Raspberry Pi, and one iPhone. The Arduino has GPS, SMS, and radar sensors.
Challenges we ran into
We had limited hardware and had to share equipment, which hindered productivity.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that it can carry relatively heavy weights and can recognize traffic lights.
What we learned
We learned that we should come more prepared so that not everything is rushed at the last minute.
What's next for botex
Hopefully, this can become a business. We will improve all aspects of the car.
