Inspiration

We were excited to use Azure to provide meaningful data about consumer opinion trends over social media. a business solution for companies to monitor their brand over social media.

What it does

BrandBoon provides real-time data visualization and analytics for companies, using Azure's machine learning algorithms.

How we built it

Azure, C# in ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, and lots of JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble automating queries from Azure cloud, as well as firewall issues. To overcome these, we downloaded the requested data beforehand and tested locally.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning new languages (Ruby on Rails) and getting past the challenges we were faced with.

What we learned

That communication and keeping track of timing & tasks are absolutely key.

What's next for BrandBoon

Taking over the animal kingdom.
