BudgetPath

Inspiration:

College students face difficulties budgeting and independently managing their money.

What it does:

Our app assists in managing and encouraging college students to live a financially healthy lifestyle.

How we built it:

We built this using the xcode environment to create a mock app of our user interface. In addition, we used Canva to create our icons and logo.

Challenges we ran into:

We faced challenges when trying to activate buttons and link each app page to its subsequent button.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We built a user-friendly interface that caters specifically to students attending university. We are also proud of connecting the buttons to the respective pages of our app.

What we learned:

We learned how to work together to brainstorm and collaborate in the face of challenges. We also learned a lot from the mentors, specifically how to navigate Git and GitHub. This being our first Hackathon, we learned many soft skills that will assist in creating a better work environment.

What's next for BudgetPath:

We want to implement credit scores as well as charts and graphs that help the user visualize their finances to further our app.
