ReminderPal

Inspiration

We created this app to stay organized and stay on top of our tasks with my SMS/Email To-Do List. Our team never wanted to miss another deadline or forget an important task. In this application, users get reminders straight to my phone or inbox and easily manage and prioritize my to-do's for maximum productivity and success

What it does

This web application is a productivity tool that allows users to create and manage events and tasks in an easy and efficient way. The application includes a countdown feature that displays the amount of time remaining until the event or task is due, providing users with a clear visual of the time left for them to complete their activities. Users can also set up notifications to be sent to them via SMS or email, reminding them of the upcoming event or task at a specified time before it takes place. This feature ensures that users are aware of their upcoming activities and helps them stay on top of their schedule.

How we built it

We built this using the MERN Stack. (MongoDB, Express, React Node). For Services we used the following: Frontend: TailwindCSS and DaisyUI Backend: Twilio API & Node Mailer API.

Challenges we ran into

Since this was a brand new experience for three of our members. We struggled with time management since for a good portion of the hackathon we were learning.
