Inspiration

Thought of the typical adult lifestyle which can get tedious and repetitive. Allows for spontaneity and excitement each and every day. Even if suggestions aren't followed, it can at least serve as inspiration for people that need ideas of what to do after work.

What it does

Provides an everyday person the ability to spice their lives up by suggesting events and activities they might not otherwise entertain. Automated generated events using User's interests, music taste, location, etc.

How we built it

Function, React based components, custom hooks. Firebase for backend

Spotify, Yelp, Ticketmaster APIs. Date object conversions. State management

What's next for Calendar Spice

Full implementation of a social panel and linking friends' calendars to suggest events for everyone involved. Automated concert events. User-generated events (hosts) that can locally supply other activities in a more intimate setting; Great tool to meet people with similar schedules.
