Inspiration

Our journey with CareLink started at a healthcare workshop, coupled with a personal story close to our hearts. The workshop highlighted the fragmented nature of continuity in care, often leaving patients under-supported. Additionally, a team member's personal experience with their grandmother's terminal illness underlined the challenges faced by seniors and others who can sometimes feel sidelined by the healthcare system. These narratives drove us to develop a solution that ensures continuous care and support.

What it does

CareLink is a cutting-edge app crafted to enhance healthcare communication. Built with React, JavaScript, OpenAI, and EmailJS, it ensures fluid interaction between patients and healthcare professionals. Patients can effortlessly log their health metrics, and the app, using AI, smartly analyzes this data, directing it to the appropriate caregivers like nurses, PSWs, or family doctors. This not only guarantees prompt medical care but also significantly eases the workload of healthcare workers, streamlining the entire care process.

How we built it

We built CareLink with a tech stack comprising React for the front end, JavaScript for functionality, OpenAI for intelligent data processing, and EmailJS for effective communication.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating EmailJS and OpenAI API presented significant challenges, particularly in tailoring these technologies to fit our specific needs. We navigated through complexities to ensure smooth functioning and effective implementation of these technologies.
