Inspiration

I was inspired by Mario. Specifically the first level of the first game.

What it does

This is a platformer where the players must overcome obstacles on their way to the castle.

How we built it

We built this using metas desktop editor, typescript, the built in ai, and tri mesh models and assets from metas asset library.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into many challenges too many to mention. Firstly I entered the competition late. I have never developed on horizons or used typeScript. I spent days trying get things to work only to realize they were not an option as far as I could tell. Single player, instancing, playerId issues, ect.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to finish and will hopefully be able to correctly submit in time.

What we learned

I learned a lot. I got my first experience with typescript and look forward to continuing to learn to develop on horizons os.

What's next for Castle Run

I plan to finish and expand on my original vision for Castle Run.
