Inspiration

We were inspired by older social networking sites, such as MySpace, with profiles focused on personalization and simpler features.

What it does

Fosters kindness between strangers by giving an outlet for anonymous users to offer compliments, words of affirmation, and other forms of kindness. Users receive "kudos" which can be used to buy customization items to personalize their profile space.

How we built it

Using Svelte.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing the shop features and keeping track of the currency system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a functional shop with room customization system, and deploying a functional website.

What we learned

Coding in JS, CSS, and HTML, all using Svelte

What's next for Compliment

Implement AI to score messages on tone and give users more or less kudos; more shop items and greater customization freedom for profiles.
