Inspiration

Conversation is the key for learning. But vast sum of conversation overshadows personal/professional time which could be better utilized in your growth. Our app achieves you to that goal.

What it does

Cosmic Ink is a transcript application which was built with the help of Symbl AI and At Sign platform for back-end to store our data and authenticate. It process vast sum of conversations and summarizes them based on the following categories: Topics discussed, Messages Sent, Questions asked, Actions performed, Follow-ups. It also contains Analyser that presents total silence time, total talk time, total overlaps, and so on, which helps track effectiveness of the conversation. It saves time of the user rather going the conventional way and provides a window for their quality time.

How we built it

The application was built using Android framework. We use

  • Symbl AI for analysing the conversations
  • Volley library for HTTP GET and POST methods to communicate with Symbl AI
  • At Sign Platform for authentication and storage
  • Material UI for the app UI

Challenges we ran into

  • API integration
  • Time constraints
  • Difficulty executing Volley API calls (first time used)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made an app that is useful for the folks all around the world especially in the pandemic. It is useful in various fields like legal transcription in the law court, analysis for therapy sessions, recorded online lectures, etc.

What we learned

  • Learned using Volley
  • Learned about Symbl AI
  • learned the Postman interface and uses
  • learned how to integrate with At sign platform

What's next for Cosmic Ink

The application as of now is capable to provide all the insights of the conversation in different categories as mentioned above. We are further looking to add an option to link the questions, topics, etc. to the main message in the first screen.

The User Interface of course! We will try to provide more options in the analysis screen and provide navigation options so that its easy to link the messages with a single click.

Other developments we planned are:

  • Live stream and live call analysis
  • Emergency sensing and response
  • Documentational services
