Inspiration
Go Fund Me and Kick Starter are awesome tools to raise money for important causes ranging from funding a company to paying medical bills. We sought to build a decentralized app that helps you raise money for important causes.
What it does
Uses the Ethereum blockchain to store raised money in smart contracts, and distribute to campaign owners.
How I built it
Using react and Ethereum blockchain.
Challenges I ran into
It was very difficult to test the execution of smart contracts.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We created a web app thats able to create campaigns, and then allowed people to donate money to campaigns.
What I learned
Blockchain concepts, as well as how to write smart contracts using solidity.
What's next for CryptStarter
We want to expand our app to work on mobile!
