With CustomCravings, users can effortlessly share and discover user orders from their favorite fast food chains, including Chipotle, Cava, Domino’s, Frostbites and Subway.

Inspiration

Our inspiration came from TikTok trends where people try other peoples unique orders.

What it does

It allows users to post their unique orders based on the restaurant they pick.

How we built it

We built our web application using Next.js: A React framework (version 14.2.15), React, Tailwind CSS, Prisma to help interact with our PostgreSQL. For the language we used TypeScript to add static types and improve code quality and maintainability. We also used Figma in order to design the UI/UX of our website

Challenges we ran into were figuring how to maintain our sessions for users. Another challenge we ran into was interacting with our database relationships in order to get vendor

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An accomplishment we are proud of was being able to have different users tied to different post orders. As well the beautiful UI/UX we designed for the website.

What we learned

We learned how to keep users sessions in a web application and how to interact with databases.

What's next for CustomCravings

We want to implement a vote system in order to make the most popular orders appear on our homepage.
